  1. So .00007 of Minnesota has positively been infected. So much doom and gloom numbers out there. Just putting it into perspective.
  2. So I am not sure if there is any uproar from the students about moving the student section. But one thing that they need to realize is the students of UND from 2001 - 2019 really had a pretty sweet setup. they had prime seats at the 50 yard line. How many college football stadiums have that sort of deal with the student section? Very very few. Virtually non at the FBS level. It was only a matter of time until they were moved due to potential revenue possibilities or lack of attendance. Also people need to remember where the student section was located at Memorial Stadium? Endzone to the 25 yard line on one side. Also not meaning to start any conspiracy theories, but I think it's only a matter of time before the student sections in 108 and 109 are put up as Champions Club season tickets and the students are all moved to the upper bowl. For both reasons mentioned above.
  3. https://fightinghawks.com/news/2020/3/26/home-times-promotions-ticket-information-for-2020-football-season-set.aspx The days of multiple start times for home games are virtually over. 6:30pm for the Thursday home opener and 1:00 pm for the other 4 home games. This is a great move! Also, looking forward to what is planned for the #PinkeStrong game!!! Also just noticed it is the "First Annual" #PinkeStrong game!!! 2020 UND Football Home Kickoff Schedule Sept. 3 – vs. Valparaiso (#PinkeStrong Game) | 6:30 p.m. Oct. 3 – vs. South Dakota State (Potato Bowl USA/Family Weekend) | 1 p.m. Oct. 10 – vs. Missouri State (Homecoming/Hall of Fame) | 1 p.m. Oct. 31 – vs. South Dakota (Halloween) | 1 p.m. Nov. 21 – vs. Southern Illinois (Military Appreciation/Senior Day) | 1 p.m.
  4. Does anyone have a pic of Hunter not smiling?!! Seriously. The positive attitude he has had through all of this is truly inspiring. Makes us really look at our situation (especially now) and really be thankful for all we have. Hunter is an inspiration! https://www.inforum.com/sports/5016436-UNDs-Hunter-Pinke-returns-home-after-recovering-from-Colorado-ski-accident?fbclid=IwAR1koSJJ_-hdPQIhcV3bjfD4FoYqozg1yAZSbAB8jvFYYnvUhtKzuiqhj1Q

  17. Spoiler Alert
  18. February 15th, 1998. A rare afternoon tilt with none other than the Minnesota Gophers. down 3-0 with 10 minutes to go and the Sioux rallied to score 5 unanswered. This was my freshman year. Growing up in Grand Forks I had been to many games in the late 80's post Hrkac Circus days and early 90's. Not a great tome for UND hockey. But coming off a National Championship in 1997, the Ralph was back to rockin again. This was my first Sioux/Gopher game in the student section, and boy did it no disappoint. My head hurt for days from screaming after that one!!
  19. Keep it simple. Hang a banner like this next to the retired numbers. Opposite side of the Championship banners. “Retired season”.
  20. A small black banner with white letters(green trim) with just the year “2020”. A tribute to this years team but More importantly remembering the year sports stopped and we focused on caring for each other by cancelling events.
  21. We don’t want to be like St Cloud and hang meaningless banners for not winning anything.
  22. 2020 could have ended like 2016. But it also could have ended like 2011. Both those years, UND was the best team in college hockey entering the tournament. The tournament is so unpredictable. Sometimes the best team wins. Sometimes the overall 1 seed loses in the first game to the 16 seed! While expectations were high for this team to hang 9, there certainly wasn’t any guarantee. No need for banners recognizing this season. There are plenty of other great seasons UND hockey has had where there is no banner. This is just another one of those years.
