  2. Not a Sioux memory, but a memory many of us will never forget. For those that were there, it was nothing like I have ever experienced before!! And you can watch. All again on March 27th!!
  3. UND cancels spring semester and commencement.

  10. Spoiler Alert
  11. February 15th, 1998. A rare afternoon tilt with none other than the Minnesota Gophers. down 3-0 with 10 minutes to go and the Sioux rallied to score 5 unanswered. This was my freshman year. Growing up in Grand Forks I had been to many games in the late 80's post Hrkac Circus days and early 90's. Not a great tome for UND hockey. But coming off a National Championship in 1997, the Ralph was back to rockin again. This was my first Sioux/Gopher game in the student section, and boy did it no disappoint. My head hurt for days from screaming after that one!!
  12. Keep it simple. Hang a banner like this next to the retired numbers. Opposite side of the Championship banners. “Retired season”.
  13. A small black banner with white letters(green trim) with just the year “2020”. A tribute to this years team but More importantly remembering the year sports stopped and we focused on caring for each other by cancelling events.
  14. We don’t want to be like St Cloud and hang meaningless banners for not winning anything.
  15. 2020 could have ended like 2016. But it also could have ended like 2011. Both those years, UND was the best team in college hockey entering the tournament. The tournament is so unpredictable. Sometimes the best team wins. Sometimes the overall 1 seed loses in the first game to the 16 seed! While expectations were high for this team to hang 9, there certainly wasn’t any guarantee. No need for banners recognizing this season. There are plenty of other great seasons UND hockey has had where there is no banner. This is just another one of those years.
  16. Probably by the end of the day at this rate.
  17. Calm down. It's a joke. Or maybe a coping device to deal with the season being cancelled. Relax. We are all just having fun here!
  18. So Florida State received the ACC Tournament Championship trophy today when the ACC Tournament was cancelled. I though Schloss tweeted that after the cancelled the NCHC tournament and before they cancelled the MCAA tournament, that UND would be getting the auto bid. Does that mean UND is gou 2020 NCHC Tournament Champions? Do we get the Frozen Faceoff Trophy? Honest question.
  19. NCAA cancels remaining winter and spring championships Today, NCAA President Mark Emmert and the Board of Governors canceled the Division I men’s and women’s 2020 basketball tournaments, as well as all remaining winter and spring NCAA championships. This decision is based on the evolving COVID-19 public health threat, our ability to ensure the events do not contribute to spread of the pandemic, and the impracticality of hosting such events at any time during this academic year given ongoing decisions by other entities.
  20. It needs to be said again. in 2009, 59 million Americans contracted the H1N1 virus. 12,000 Americans died. We are no where near to those numbers here in the United States.. Everyone just needs to relax. Is everyone being maybe a little over precautious? Maybe. But we were fine back in 2009 and moved on as a country. We will get through this as well.
  21. Perspective you won't hear from the MSM Worldwide Coronavirus stats: 128,000 cases 4718 deaths 69,000 FULLY RECOVERED (So far)
