  1. Yes. Make this happen!! Bout time Fletcher got canned. LOOOOOOOOOONG overdue.
  2. Well if voting starts Monday, I would assume they would be released pretty soon so people have time to analyze each choice and debate the pros and cons of each option *edit: bitch about the choices.
  3. http://und.edu/mascot A student-led committee has been taking the next step towards bringing a live mascot into the Fighting Hawks game day experience. The designs are almost complete, and we’re looking for the students’ input in making UND’s Fighting Hawk come to life! Voting will open for all students Monday, April 30 at 10 a.m. and will close Wednesday, May 2 at 9 p.m. The winning design will be announced on Thursday, May 3.
  4. If you haven't heard about any fundraising, that should probably tell you something.
  5. jdub27, where were you when the AD job was open? Should have thrown your name in the hat!!
  6. especially the one on the right!!!
  7. We can all be grateful that our mascot will not be an inanimate object come to life like an ear of corn!!!
  8. I was hoping they would have Dixon Bowen on their foreshadowing a 9th Natty!!
  9. Some peoples reaction to the new Fighting Hawks mascot
  10. I think the Ralph needs another green banner hanging from the rafters!!
  11. The sky is blue, winters suck in North Dakota, Trump is President, and the Fighting Hawks name is here to stay. Time to accept reality. If that is too much for you to handle, find your nearest safe space where you can make up your own reality. Maybe someday you can come out and be ready to live in the real world. End rant.
  12. Agreed. this isn't Facebook No one should be censored because of their beliefs!
  13. They aren't giving the students more lower seats. That is for sure. Given what is happening in Fargo at NDSU football games, I would not be surprised if they moved the students out of 108 and 109 and opened that up to sell to high donating Champions Club members. Put the students all on one level in 307, 308, 309, 310.
  14. What's silly is that there is still continues to be a nickname issue when it should be resolved by now.
  15. The gesture was 100% authentic and a great way to show support for a hockey team during a difficult time. I think what people are having issue with the tweet from Hayden was that he was representing the University of North Dakota hockey team as the Fighting Sioux. The student athletes are the ones that compete for the school and wear the name and logo on their jerseys and compete under that identity. The fact that a UND hockey player doesn't identify with the name he plays for is what the issue is. What is frustrating is how virtually every other athletic program at UND has embraced the Fighting Hawks name and logo. that is very apparent when you look at players/coaches/etc tweets and comments. When it comes to the hockey program, they are not like that at all. And that is why people take issue with tweets like this.
  16. Once you catch a shirt from a t shirt cannon being shot by the new Fighting Hawks mascot, that will change your mind!!
  17. Tough to do when you have enablers like the Ralph, hockey coaching staff, and Faison the past 2 and half years.
  18. Yeah, she's probably gonna be fired. Despicable comments.
  19. Yep. If I was an NDSU student, I would b pretty upset. Imagine if UND/Ralph decided they were taking away the lower bowl student sections 108 and 109!! Really I am surprised they haven't done so already.
  20. Schloss seems to be convinced that they are talking about this for hockey here as well.

  22. "NDSU students had a seating capacity of about 4,000. Generally, students have filled those seats early in the season, but attendance has waned later in October and November."
  23. Also outside the Ralph. 15 hockey sticks in honor of the 15 who died.
  24. We all know that we have our attendance issues for football, especially with the students. But this is just another example that shows that no school, even one that has won 6 of the past National Championships, is immune from declining attendance. NDSU reduces student seats, adds more season tickets for football games http://www.inforum.com/sports/4430092-ndsu-reduces-student-seats-adds-more-season-tickets-football-games
  25. So 2 is literally the bare minimum quantity of what could be considered a "pile". 8>2
