  1. 2 Club Seats in South Club. $100 total for the 2 tickets
  2. I wouldn't be surprised to see this quote hit double digits on the +1's. Well said.
  3. I think that I am going to have to pass on a name that once described Canada
  4. The Bison win one home playoff game in just about 20 years and everybody decides to come out of the wood work. I suppose it is easy to get super excited about your team when the bar has been set so low over time. The next big goal for you guys will be to actually sell out your first home playoff game in 20 years.
  5. Watching the quality of ESPN 3 versus the quality of a Sioux hockey webcast whether it is through fightingsioux.com or b2.com is night and day. ESPN 3 is better than alot of cable channels. The other webcasts are usually very grainy and sometimes have poor sound. That being said, they usually are only like $7 a game and I find that better than listening to just the radio, so I find it worth it. Most of the time I can see the action alot more clear on my computer versus running it through an hdmi cable onto my tv. I would say for the money if you can't get fox college sports or fssn, it is definatey worth the 60 bucks for a season or whatever it is for the home webcasts on fightingsioux.com. The away webcasts that you can get on b2 are usually better quality than the ones on fssn. Thats just my opinion.
  6. I am at a loss for words. I don't see any comparison between the two situations. The imposed "Death Penalty" on SMU by the NCAA was for SMU's football program. It did not affect any other sports at the school. It was imposed due to players accepting money from boosters after already being caught by the NCAA a few years earlier for the same thing along with other recruiting violations. The "Death Penalty" caused the football program to cancel the 87 season and lose all home games for the 88 season, along with losing scholarships over roughly a 3-4 year period. UND is using a name and logo that the NCAA deems "hostile and abusive." Where is the comparision, or am I just clueless?
  7. Please explain the connection between SMU's situation in the 1980's and UND's current situation. I am very interested in your logic on this one.
  8. Glad to hear that you "sure the hell won't vote for him." Does my random thought of having pancakes for dinner fit under this forum topic? If so, I am thinking of having pancakes for dinner. If not, I am sorry for the people who opened this topic thinking there would be some substance only to find out I was just passing on a random thought.
  9. All you people that think that Kelley and the University would even consider going down that road and using the nickname "Spirit Lake Sioux," after this whole drawn out debacle, need to have your heads examined. I can't believe some of this stuff that I read on here. Its downright laughable at times.
  10. I thought Ben Brien drew the logo?

    Jerseys

Does anyone know where a guy can pick up a vintage/throwback Sioux hockey jersey (not counting the replica's on ebay)?
  12. Even though the US based team has a higher percentage of Canadians on its roster (17/26 Bruins) than the Canadian based team (17/32 Canucks)?
  13. Its gotta make a team feel fortunate when they have been outscored in a series14-6 and they still have a 3-2 series lead. I wonder what the most lopsided goal differential is for a team that wins a Stanley Cup, but was outscored in the series.
  14. You get my +1 for the day. Let's get over the BC crush people. Let's just hope the guys can come out and hold down the back yard no matter who they play.
  15. I think Sioux fans should be thankful for the donations that the Englestads have already given to the university and not be sticking their hand out for more money. The majority of schools will never receive donations to their sports programs as we did from that generous family.
  16. Gregoire is a good player, but I think its a stretch to say that him staying one more year "cements his standing as one of the best ever." I like the Sioux as much as the next guy, but this I would call drinking a little too much of the so called kool-aid. Gregoire could come back and have a very good year as he did this year, but I still don't know if that would cement him as one of the best ever. I guess I don't know if you mean one of the best college players ever, or one of the best Sioux players ever. Either way its a stretch.
  17. Great post. Everybody is all worked up about scheduling and playoff games already. Let's be honest, the football schedule has been piss poor for a few years now and that's during a time where anyone was fair game to play. On top of that we couldn't beat half of the piss poor teams on our football schedule or a good NAIA Sioux Falls team in our own building. I don't see our football team playing a full FCS schedule and making the playoffs, with a chance to host a playoff game for a few years after we are playoff eligible, so let's just cool down and let things play out.
  18. You sound like you have gone down the same path. Have you played D1 college hockey and played minor league pro hockey. If so I respect your opinion. If not, you just sound bitter like an ex-girlfriend. If you could quit your current job and play a professional sport (while traveling numerous miles on a bus) to make a living, would you do it? I am guessing by your statement that you would probably keep working your same old job and not do it because of all the bus travel.
  19. The Bison get to host their first playoff football game in 18 years and all of a sudden the folks down here are pumping their chests thinking they are all of a sudden relevant. It just kills these Bison folks that they always have to take the back seat to UND. Does anybody know of any siouxsports posters that go on their site and post that type of garbage? I am guessing there isn't a single one. The last time I even thought about the Bison was when they gave me a permanent !@#$ grin on my face for a week after fumbling the ball on the 6 inch line in the playoffs.
