  1. Sorry, had to change the privacy settings. Should work now.
  2. Looking for 2 lower bowl tickets for both nights this weekend against UNO. Email me or text me at 218-779-9742. Thanks, Dustin
  3. Thanks, I think its going to work. Here is the RPI Rankings as of tonight minus the games that are dropped due to a team defeating a team that causes their RPI to drop. https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0Atg-C_g2RbJCdE5YaFpTTkF3NlMzdEtDdVRJeXROemc&hl=ja#gid=0
  4. I ran the numbers after including all games that were dropped due to a team defeating another team and having their R.P.I. go down. Yale is still in front of UND with an R.P.I. of .6057 to UND's .5921. I have an excel sheet that shows all 58 teams with these games included, but can't find a way to paste it on here and have it keep its formatting. If anybody knows of a way to paste an excel file on here let me know, or I can email it to somebody and they can put it on here for me.
  5. Not according to this article: http://www.bismarcktribune.com/news/local/article_79960c4d-387f-51c5-a731-b04558a85e27.html "Athletic Director Joel Maturi said the school's Advisory Committee on Athletics approved a policy in 2003 that discourages games with teams using American Indian mascots and nicknames. The policy has not been strictly enforced, but it will be now, Maturi said Monday." "At least two other Big 10 schools - the University of Wisconsin and the University of Iowa - have policies stating the schools will not play teams with American Indian mascots unless contract or conference obligations require them to do so." Although they may follow this sanctions list, I can't find anywhere that they state they do. All I have found are articles like this one that said they refuse to play teams with NA nicknames. I trust you know what you are talking about, so you don't have to go digging anything up for me.
  6. Somebody made a good point the other day stating that there must have been some kind of bargaining that went on between Stenjehm and the NCAA as in 2 tribe approval in exchange for an extra year to get things done or something of that nature. At the time of the settlement, Stenjehm would not have had any idea that Spirit Lake would have voted the way they did.
  7. Wisco and UM choosing not to play us has nothing to do with the NCAA's sanctions list. It is each school's policy not to play school's with NA nicknames. If a BTHC is formed there is the possibility that the school's would end the 50+ year rivalries, but something tells me that they would reevaluate their stance on the issue if the Sioux were allowed to keep the name. If they decide to never play the Sioux again in hockey I guess my feeling on this is completely wrong.
  8. Don't know all of the schools with NA nicknames, so I just googled Wisco and Central Michigan and it looks like Wisco played them at the beginning of this year in volleyball. They will have to stop playing the Chippewas if they decide to quit playing the Sioux. Or are they just going to be pollitically correct against the Sioux nickname?
  9. Wisco and UM will not quit playing the Sioux in hockey if the BTHC is formed, or if the Sioux were to keep the name. Maybe these schools won't play the Sioux in other sports, but they will not stop playing out these rivalries in hockey. Good luck with that forecast.
  10. Not gonna happen. You can tell me you told me so when it does.
  11. I hope our fans don't resort to that. Very classless. He was one of our rivals, but I wouldn't wish missing your senior season on anyone. I myself, respect the guy for what he did for their program.
  12. Decision was made for them due to the buyout. USD wanted to go to the BSC, but didn't want to pay the Summit to do so.
  13. All I can say is WOW after this post. This means that Northern Michigan and Michigan Tech. are due then. They have past titles and its been a few years, so count them in. WOW!
  14. Improve? Give out vans full free basketballs after beating up on Mayville State like they did when I was a kid?
  15. In my opinion Five Guys is over priced average food. The burgers are roughly $5 a piece, and the smallest fry that you can buy feeds 2-3 people (plus they are way too greasy). All in all, it costs my wife and I $15-$20 to eat at the place and overall its just average. What GFreally needs is a JL Beers like they have in downtown Fargo. Great place to go for a Burger and a Beer, and the prices are great.
  16. I believe UND versus Kansas would have to be the biggest crowd to watch a bball game in North Dakota. Attendance was 13,280. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/scores101/101356/101356346.htm
  17. The NCAA calculates S.O.S. for college hockey as .28 X your opponent's Win%(minus games played against you) + .72 X your opponent's opponent's Win %. This means that the weight that is applied to who your opponents have played is almost three times the weight that is applied to who you have played. Goon is correct that these numbers don't mean much this early in the season. The numbers fluctuate greatly with such a small sample size (Especially when teams out east like Harvard just played their first two games last weekend).
  18. Its still very early in the season, but Notre Dame currently has a S.O.S. of .5576 which is the 2nd toughest in the nation, and UNO has a S.O.S. of .5556 which is the 3rd toughest in the nation.
