But then you would have UND Denver first round
-
I guess I need to explain this a little deeper for you...... For example, if there are four number 2 seeds from the wcha and there is also a fifth team from the wcha that is a 3 seed, then there is no way for the committee to avoid a first round matchup.

College basketball is over the Monday prior to the Frozen Four. NCAA basketball doesn't take a break like NCAA hockey does. The Frozen Four is typically on the same weekend as the Masters which gives it some competition for TV viewers,

All Time Sioux Greats Roster, who would you choose?
siouxu31 replied to tho0505's topic in Men's Hockey
Steve Johnson? -
Yes, and a sub .500 Wisco team beat Denver in the first round and then lost in overtime to UND in the Regional final. I can't remember why they were all placed in the same regional. The only way I can see it happening again is if 4 teams from the same conference all are the same seed (i.e. all 3 seeds finishing 9, 10, 11, and 12 in the final pairwise rankings.)

We can possibly overtake Minnesota. Currently we have a better common opponent record than them. They are beating us in RPI, 1 victory over us, and TUC %. We have a better common opponent record right now. So it is 3-1 them. If CC drops out of TUC which they are very close right now with an RPI of .5002 (anything below .5000 drops them out) our TUC percentage would increase. Our comparison in TUC with minnesota would have our record at 9-5-3 and minnesotas would be 8-5-1 heading down the home stretch. If we end up flipping this comparison with minny its now 2-2 with them holding the tie breaker with RPI. If we were to face them in the final five and win we would then win the overall comparison 3-2. RPI - minny 1 point TUC - und 1 point Common Opponent - und 1 point Head to head - split one point each. We would obviously have to end well, but the key is getting CC out of the TUC since we are 2-2 against them. We could end up flipping comparisons with both BC and UNH also, but there is really no way for us to overtake Miami unless they completely collapse giving us the comparison in TUC and RPI. The common opponent versus Miami is done. Our one loss versus Alaska at the start of the season killed us in our comparison with Miami.

It was nice to get some of the better recent North Dakota high school players. Oothoudt was a 2 time state singles champion his sophomore and senior years, Bakke won it the year between Oothoudts 2 titles, and McGuigan lost to Oothoudt in the final when Oothoudt won his second. Joe Lee was a solid local player that played in the top 3 on a Red River team that has currently won 15 consecutive state championships. It will be nice to see they area players play, but with them already being sophomores and juniors for the most part it doesn't give them much time to raise the level of the program. It will be interesting to see how the team will compete for recruits with no scholarship money available. Division 1 tennis, for the most part, is comprised of International players and with no scholarship money available at UND, don't look for the tennis program to ever be competing for any sort of title.

I am assuming its because they are picking up someone else's feed (i.e. they don't own the production).

What time does the game start on Friday? NBC sports channel says 6:30, but uscho.com and our schedule say 7:30. Can somebody who is going look at their ticket?
-
Highly doubtful after reading some of his blogging. Pot meet kettle if he is calling someone else out on their grammar or spelling.

I have never tried it before, but I thought if you are a midco customer that you can watch tv through their website at any time, which could save you on buying the slingbox.

Sure sounded like one on PA's show a year or so ago with some comments he made. Pretty sure he got booted from calling for a little while.

POLL: Should UND-NDSU Resume the Football Series?
siouxu31 replied to ShilohSioux's topic in Football
There are no extra points for beating people by large amounts in FBS either. The only protion of the BCS that a blowout victory could sway is the human poll, (i.e. making a team look better than it is by beating a team by a large amount). The same could be said for FCS as playoff teams are ultimately picked by humans and if two teams are on the bubble, blowout victorys could help one team get in over another. -
I guess this means we won't be winning a title this year. Somebody tell Hak to shut it down.

Use your fingers to count back 10 seasons and you will realize that the gophers only have one national title in the last 10 years.

Did the Sioux wear them in the final game played at the old Ralph? I thought I remember Schneider fighting in that jersey.

A team under consideration is any team with an RPI over .500. 25% comprised of team's winning percentage, 25% comprised of team's opponent's winning percentage (exlcuding games versus opponent), and 50% comprised of the team's opponent's opponent's winning percentage. Therefore the goofs opponents are not winning games versus crappy opponents, who have lost games to other crappy opponents.

Davey has been saying this the entire time. We all want a little of what he is smoking.
