yeah, and I understand that, but they are pretty poor at negotiating then. Why not negotiate to broadcast you games, that are not already committed to CBS elswhere? We saw some of that this past season, Homegames were all broadcast on FCS with the exception of the few that were on CBS or NBC.

I've been complaining about it for a while. I'm no necessarily opposed to the NCHC, I am opposed to one of the premier teams in the new league having no real benefits. Mostly I'm just ticked that after being able to watch all of the home games over the past few year, I won't be able to now.

Pretty poor decision to bank on that after fans have had access to TV deals the past several years. Can't express how disappointed I am in this. Hopefully their current contract isn't too long and they can find a better deal down the road.

Terrible! A top D1 hockey program, and this is the best we can do? It pathetic that the school joins a different conference and gives up its national exposure like that. Not saying that they should have stayed in the WCHA, that would have been absurd, but they should have figured out these details way ahead of time.

The black endzone look great, but I would take the Fargo Dome over the Alerus Center anyday ... when will UND get another Ralph Engelstad Alum to donate a sick football stadium? And bring it back to campus ... perfect placement would have been right ontop of the Old Memorial or Old Ralph. As soon as I make my billions ... :-)

Does anyone know if there is anything new with the Men's hockey TV situation? I know that the NCHC has a deal with either NBC or CBS Sports, but that will only cover a few of the games throughout the season? Have they found a way to broadcast the rest of the games? Pretty disappointing to lose out on the Fox College Sports deal that was in place, I would think they could find a way to make it work for the games that are not already commited to the bigger network. At the very least, it would be smart of the NCHC to put together something like the Big Sky does. It will be pretty dissapointing if the only way to watch the Sioux are the glitchy webcasts that have been in place over the past several years.

Is there a website for college hockey recruiting. I tend to see a lot of names out here that I know nothing about. Where do most of you get your recruiting info? Here on SS or elsewhere?

Wasn't the Pelnik the guy that committed to UND when he was in like 8th or 9th grade? I though I remembered reading (a while back) he was the youngest kid to commit to UND, or am I mixing this up?

Can we expect any of these guys to be immediated impact players? Without Knight and Kristo we are losing alot of scoring punch this season.

I definitely wouldn't worry about Rocco being on the score sheet. It is easy to have higher expectations of him, even though he is a Freshman, because we were exposed to his name so much from his red shirt year. This guy could potentially be around for another 3 years, I am sure he will do amazing thing, so long as he sticks around.

Love the Sioux, but St Cloud, won the WCHA and beat the hell out of Notre Dame ... they deserve to keep playing. Sioux beat themselves with poor D and missed opportunities today. As for Hakstol, his number speak for themselves. I would be thrilled if this guys recruits and coaches for UND for another 15-20 years. Fan have been pampered by this guy, and don't realize how bad it could be with anyone else. We have been lucky enough to watch post season hockey for the last 9 years. 5 Frozen Fours, One title game. I'll take it, the championship will come...

Great post. Hak is a great coach, and if he had got that title his first year, people wouldn't be complaining as much. His numbers as a coach are ridiculous. This loss is on the players for collapsing with 7 min. left.

No excuses for today, but I would call shuffling the line yesterday for a comeback win in the 3rd period making adjustments. Too bad he didn't do the same thing today with the defensive pairings. He needed to split up Mattson and Gleason

One of the first time I agree that Hak didn't step up. He needed to split up Mattson and Gleason at the very least. God awful defensive pairing all weekend. Mattson looked like a clown out there (with the exception of one play, where he made up for his initial screw up). And for as good of a career as Gleason has had, he was a complete joke this weekend.

Wow, kind of an A hole comment. Yeah that is what I had hear from my buddies who are gopher fans, and often bias. It was a question, just leave it at that. I'm pretty sure I know when the hell the Sioux play. I started the thread this morning. I'm all for some ribbing about a Gopher thread, but don't be a jerk.
