Is there a website for college hockey recruiting. I tend to see a lot of names out here that I know nothing about. Where do most of you get your recruiting info? Here on SS or elsewhere?

Wasn't the Pelnik the guy that committed to UND when he was in like 8th or 9th grade? I though I remembered reading (a while back) he was the youngest kid to commit to UND, or am I mixing this up?

Can we expect any of these guys to be immediated impact players? Without Knight and Kristo we are losing alot of scoring punch this season.

I definitely wouldn't worry about Rocco being on the score sheet. It is easy to have higher expectations of him, even though he is a Freshman, because we were exposed to his name so much from his red shirt year. This guy could potentially be around for another 3 years, I am sure he will do amazing thing, so long as he sticks around.

Love the Sioux, but St Cloud, won the WCHA and beat the hell out of Notre Dame ... they deserve to keep playing. Sioux beat themselves with poor D and missed opportunities today. As for Hakstol, his number speak for themselves. I would be thrilled if this guys recruits and coaches for UND for another 15-20 years. Fan have been pampered by this guy, and don't realize how bad it could be with anyone else. We have been lucky enough to watch post season hockey for the last 9 years. 5 Frozen Fours, One title game. I'll take it, the championship will come...

Great post. Hak is a great coach, and if he had got that title his first year, people wouldn't be complaining as much. His numbers as a coach are ridiculous. This loss is on the players for collapsing with 7 min. left.

I maintain that Mattson should get his scholarship pulled after that game, and thank god Gleason is gone after this weekend, he has been absolute crap

No excuses for today, but I would call shuffling the line yesterday for a comeback win in the 3rd period making adjustments. Too bad he didn't do the same thing today with the defensive pairings. He needed to split up Mattson and Gleason

One of the first time I agree that Hak didn't step up. He needed to split up Mattson and Gleason at the very least. God awful defensive pairing all weekend. Mattson looked like a clown out there (with the exception of one play, where he made up for his initial screw up). And for as good of a career as Gleason has had, he was a complete joke this weekend.

Wow, kind of an A hole comment. Yeah that is what I had hear from my buddies who are gopher fans, and often bias. It was a question, just leave it at that. I'm pretty sure I know when the hell the Sioux play. I started the thread this morning. I'm all for some ribbing about a Gopher thread, but don't be a jerk. Go Sioux, this goal should stand based on the on ice call!

Thanks for the info. I don't usually follow recruiting too closely, but recently heard about some of these guys. Of course it was from a Goofer fan, so they were explained as incoming Gods (rather than Freshman). Just wondering how good they are actually supposed to be.

True, some ribbing was expected. I didn't want to go to GPL because obviously most of the fans would just say its the best incoming class ever and they'll win it all next year. Typical bias fans, but some of these guys to sound impressive and have put up some really good numbers, so I am wondering if they will all actually show up on campus or if some of them will bolt after the draft.

Clearly I'm getting some of the obnoxious readers on this thread. I'm asking if any has heard anything on these recruits, I'm wondering if they are as good as they have been hyped up to be. Clearly, I'm a big time Sioux fan, but that doesn't mean I'm not interested in college hockey as a whole. Do you really think there weren't any gopher fans that were curious about Oshie and Toews when they were recruited to UND?

They'll still be a powerful team in the ranking, and we can always play them in the tourney. Besides UND may be my team, but I like college hockey as a whole. I may not like Haula as a Gopher but he is still a solid player. If he can be effective in a Wild jersey, I'll definitely be cheering for him. Good recruits to any NCAA team over a Major Junior team is good for college hockey.
