It's the story of the season really. No consistency. Played great last night. Terrible tonight. It they had carried last night performance into this game, they still might have lost, but at least it would have been a good game.

How many layup a are we going to miss? This is embarrassing. Weber is playing great, but we are playing equally terrible.

UND has had several open looks from deep and is missing everything. They really stuck with weber through the heavy rush at the beginning of the game but then never made a push once weber cooled off.

Not about them making unreal shots. Problem is UND playing terrible offense. Missing free throws. No 3 pt game.

Weber can't miss a three. The refs suck AND UND blows every chance they get. This is brutal!

Agreed, The play in game can only be deemed embarassing if you could or should be a higher seed. For a team like UND in their second BSC season, who has never made the tourney, it would be a big accomplishment. Ask any guy on the team if they would rather be in the play in game, or in the tournament they were in last year. Regardless of your seed, winning your conference tournament is a big deal. Everyone made a huge deal a few years ago, and UND was in the Great West ... C'mon Man .... That being said, let just beat SacSt and go from there.

Even with winning the tourney and getting the Big Sky auto bid?

Thats a nice, positive outlook. All depends which team shows up though. I would love to see both UND and NDSU in the NCAA tourney this year. I saw Eastern Kentucky already made the tourney, and the coaches cousin is a UND alum.

Not sure we can really trash talk NDSU too much. We may have dominated them, but then we fell apart, as they went on to beat Notre Dame. UND has not even held a competitve game against one of the big schools. They have shown flashes of their true potential this year, but ultimately have been dissappointing. Losing a game or two to Weber St is understandable; but losing the games to Montana State, Sac St. and SUU ... those were supposed to be the games that we found a way to win. Can this team still make it to the big dance? sure. Will they? doubtful.

It would be nice if Luke could keep it going as we work towards the playoffs.Nice to know we have a kid with such potential over the next few years. The Sioux have shown what a force they can be as a team this year, throw in some experience and the new recruits for next season. They could really be a force over the next few years.

Go Sioux! Need to score early, and put the pressure on. Never let them get into the game. Pumped to watch the games this weekend!

I always hope for going into the tourney hot, and on a win streak. I'll take the consistent play over the rest.

Not me, I wanna see SCSU lose Friday with a Sioux win. Put the pressure on them for Saturday, and have UNO and them battle it out for 2nd place.

' Totally agree, just giving you a hard time. In this league anyone can win, anytime regardless of record. To your point, Miami did pickup one of those wins against SCSU last weekend. Last vs First, is no guarantee anymore. I'm sure Miami would love to play UND again after getting embarassed too.

Miami has won 1 game in their last 6, and 2 in their last 12. Not quite "surging", though they are more dangerous than hosting Mich Tech or Anchorage.

No need to discuss expanding the Alerus center. I fully intend on winning the BILLION DOLLAR NCAA Basketball Bracket this spring, at which point I will be donating the Ralph Engelstad Arena of Football to UND. You're welcome!!!

Agreed, I thought a few years ago that Jones was doing well, but when you have talent like this team does, and struggle the way this team does, its time for a coaching change. I don't like to be the guy to immediately place blame there, but this is a deep team, and there time is NOW to make a statement. If he wants to save his job and this team, he needs to really motivate them going into the Big Sky Tourney. Maybe get Hak in the locker room to tell how to make a late season run?!?!

Word of the period ... Resilient. Every time the Sioux caught a bad break, they bounced back. Tremendous play, and exactly what we need going toward the end of the season.

Obviously the only logical Meg comparison is the Goofers.

I can't disagree, I don't typically like the staged hockey fights like in the pros, but every once in a while get something going. I will never forget watching Kyle Radke destroy Vossberg from Denver or Kaip line up against Mankato and throw punches or UND line up against Mankato and brawl just about anytime when I was in college. Not usually staged fights, but fierce play, heated tempers, and guys that weren't afraid to send a message and mix it up. I know the punishment has probably gotten a little tougher but for a guy who is not in the lineup everynight anyway, get out there and mix it up, then graciously take your game suspension. I love Sioux hockey but it does seem like they have lost some of the toughness and grit that we have seen in the past. We need someone to step into the shoes of a Matt Greene or a Andrew MacWilliam, or a Kyle Radke and Rylan Kaip for that matter. Bring some of the toughness back.
