  1. Not me, I wanna see SCSU lose Friday with a Sioux win. Put the pressure on them for Saturday, and have UNO and them battle it out for 2nd place.
  2. ' Totally agree, just giving you a hard time. In this league anyone can win, anytime regardless of record. To your point, Miami did pickup one of those wins against SCSU last weekend. Last vs First, is no guarantee anymore. I'm sure Miami would love to play UND again after getting embarassed too.
  3. Miami has won 1 game in their last 6, and 2 in their last 12. Not quite "surging", though they are more dangerous than hosting Mich Tech or Anchorage.
  4. No need to discuss expanding the Alerus center. I fully intend on winning the BILLION DOLLAR NCAA Basketball Bracket this spring, at which point I will be donating the Ralph Engelstad Arena of Football to UND. You're welcome!!!
  5. The boys need to channel there inner Oshie! Go Sioux! ROAD SWEEP!!!!!! (i hope)
  6. Agreed, I thought a few years ago that Jones was doing well, but when you have talent like this team does, and struggle the way this team does, its time for a coaching change. I don't like to be the guy to immediately place blame there, but this is a deep team, and there time is NOW to make a statement. If he wants to save his job and this team, he needs to really motivate them going into the Big Sky Tourney. Maybe get Hak in the locker room to tell how to make a late season run?!?!
  7. Word of the period ... Resilient. Every time the Sioux caught a bad break, they bounced back. Tremendous play, and exactly what we need going toward the end of the season.
  8. Obviously the only logical Meg comparison is the Goofers.
  9. I can't disagree, I don't typically like the staged hockey fights like in the pros, but every once in a while get something going. I will never forget watching Kyle Radke destroy Vossberg from Denver or Kaip line up against Mankato and throw punches or UND line up against Mankato and brawl just about anytime when I was in college. Not usually staged fights, but fierce play, heated tempers, and guys that weren't afraid to send a message and mix it up. I know the punishment has probably gotten a little tougher but for a guy who is not in the lineup everynight anyway, get out there and mix it up, then graciously take your game suspension. I love Sioux hockey but it does seem like they have lost some of the toughness and grit that we have seen in the past. We need someone to step into the shoes of a Matt Greene or a Andrew MacWilliam, or a Kyle Radke and Rylan Kaip for that matter. Bring some of the toughness back.
  10. Not looking to act in bad taste, but now you have me very curious, as I hadn't heard anything. Can you elude to some degree what happened?
  11. What was Eades biggest mistake? Always liked him, wish he was still on the bench.
  12. We do need some more scoring talent, which will hopefully be arriving next year, with the highly touted recruits. But even Rocco has been sub-par this season; at least from what has been expected of him. How many breakaways vs how many breakaway goals does he have? another example ... Saturday night he was sitting in the left circle staring at a wide open net when UNO's goalie fell, but he didn't pull the trigger. He need a little more confidence in his game; I think he has been a little sloppy. May be an overcritical analysis of Rocco, but this is a guy we need to lead this team, similar to Duncan in talent and stature, and I think Rocco is a better overall athlete than Duncan was. Beyond Rocco, this team needs to make some big adjustments on their powerplay. There were a few flashes this weekend where they had good shots, rebound opportunities and cycled the puck well, but overall they did a terrible job of creating space, controlling the puck and creating shot opportunities. Hope they can right the ship and start scoring goals, because they have a tough grind to finish the season with UMD, SCSU and Western Michigan. At this point, UND's best hope may be in the NCHC tourney. Make it to the dance, and anything can happen. Go Sioux! (steps off soap box)
  13. Why is this thread still up? Every coach has losses like this, ask Jack Parker, Red Berenson, Don Lucia. All coaches with pretty impressive resumes; whether you like them or not. Hak is, I believe, the third winningest coach in UND history. He has never missed a NCAA tourney and always been competitive. Its a down year talent wise, but that happens with college programs, we can't be unstoppable every year. That being said, we need to keep fighting and get into the tourney, where anything can happen. Then next year, we get some good new recruits coming in; let the young guys develop and move forward. Hak will right the ship. Great coach, would not want him gone.
  14. Anyone have any speculation on starting QB for this season, or will it likely be the same flip flop battle we saw last season?
  15. Really looking forward to seeing how this season pans out. Do I think they will win the Big Sky? Of course not, but I want to seem them compete, and not get blown out, like they did in a few games this year. I really hope the coaching will prevail, and help improve the players that we already have, in addition to the new players. I was never a Muss fan, and I'm glad we have a coach that can light a bit of a fire under these guy. Is it football season yet?
  16. Any potential names for FBS transfers? Between a transfer, Simmons and one of the other guys we could have a decent running game. It seems like the last really solid, standout back we had was Chappell. It would be nice to get some more size and strength back there.
  17. Looks really solid in his highlights, but everyone does. I like his size and frame as safety, appears to be a good pickup. So for really impressed with this class size for these coaches, hope the player turn out to be quality guys. Anyone with more knowledge that me know how many of this class could be early impact players?
  18. I really would have liked to see the vikes take a shot at this guy. Sherels is a good punt returner, but I think Dressler will be solid in the NFL on special teams. I think he could be a solid receiver off of screens too; turning short passes into long plays. I don't see him being a stretch the field kind of guy, cuz he would really have to burn someone since he doesn't have the height to go up an get the ball; but maybe he is that fast, its been quite a while since I saw him play in college. Good luck to him, hope he get a legit shot to prove himself at that level.
  19. Seem to play well in Denver doesn't he
  20. I just don't blame the guy for staying down after hitting the boards like that. He hit them hard and awkward; doesn't make it a cheap hit, just means it was awkward.
  21. I agree, I've said multiple times it should have been a 2
  22. I'd agree in most cases, but that dude hit the boards hard. Not saying it was a cheap shot at all, but he went flying into the boards. Could have been a back issue, could have been a broken collar bone, could have had the wind knocked out of him. But lets not pretend that if the roles had been reversed, half the people on this feed wouldn't be complaining ... because of course they would.
  23. Sarcasm?
  24. He got 5, not 5 and a game misconduct
  25. Yes, the replay was a really strange bounce off the boards
