As bad as UND played on opening night (and they played terrible), I was really surprise at how well Bemidji played. They could definitely push the Mavs this season for the WCHA. Lets hope they get a good start this weekend and knock off the Goofs.

I don't even want to read this thread because it frustrates me so much. The Fighting Sioux name is no longer on the uniforms, but the the city, school, and alumni still identify by it. Stick with University of North Dakota and leave it at that. It would make everyone happy. Unfortunately, Kelly will make them adopt something stupid and politcally correct ... makes you miss Kupchella. I'll have a hard time cheering for the UND Aeros, Force, Spirit, Cavalry, or any other stupid option he throws out there. I would love my kids to go there some day, so long as he isn't there any more. That guy should never have been brough in as President of the school.

Haha, some of them have. Obviously it wouldn't be the typical NDSU vs. FBS game, but if there was an FCS program that could even compete with Bama it would be the Bison. You just can't argue with their success or the program they have built ... it is impressive. I only hope UND can take some strides towards that type of success and competitiveness. Unfortunately, we are now starting over with Bubba, but it was still a move in the right direction. Go Sioux!

I see the game will be on ESPN3, does anyone know if Fox College Sports will pick it up? Is FCS picking up any football games this season, it isn't mentioned on UNDs website?

Not going to get my hopes up, but this would be terrific. The more teams the better, I'd love to see the sport expand!

Exactly, I'll take webcast over nothing, but I was not impressed with the quality last season. It was watchable, but certainly not the high quality that UND was touting online. It would sometimes glitch and freeze, and the picture was never sharp for supposedly being HD. Rather disappointing, getting FCS back in the picture, and getting UNDs entire home schedule online would be a huge improvement! Hopefully they can work some more Football and Basketball games into the deal too.

Hate defending the bison fans too much, but he did say he was looking to see how are recruiting was going. Can't hate too much on that. I'm just looking forward to whenever we can get another game on the schedule with them. The last game (which we won ) was my Freshman year of college. Great experience!

Yeah, I don't care who the team is, top end players sticking around is good for the college game. I said the same thing when Bjugstad decided to stay another year. Regardless of who the team is, it is nice to see player stick around.

The Nokota might me cool, they could be the Nokes for short. I would take the Roughriders too. I would prefer they just remain UND, with no name and no new logo but I doubt that will happen. I just really hope the school doesn't do something stupid like the force or the spirit, etc.

There were alot of comparisons to Nate Gerbe when he was recruited. If we could get production from Rocco next year, like BC got out of Gerbe (or even close) I think alot of people would be really happy. Hard to forget Gerbe's hat trick against us when BC just dominated the Sioux.
