I like to call it my WTFAWD* quotient. The first half of the year it was once or twice a game, the last 5 games or so it has been 7 to 9 times a game.
* what the fu&* are we doing.
Timing of that is somewhat determined by conference schedule. USD chose to play their 12th game early in the season while UND and NDSU for example had open weeks in September while USD played straight through.
Not too excited if we get in or not at this point....but do they really only take NDSU, SDSU, ISU(red) and USD this year?
The 5th spot would be down to YSU, SIU, and UND....UND rinsed both of them in non competitive games.
If that is the rule then so be it.
When he released the ball, he released the ball back towards our goal line while moving in the direction of the NDSU goal line. Physics will keep the ball moving horizontally for a bit before it moves to the ground.
I would say since the ball was released in opposite direction he was headed that would make sense......but
I can understand the interpretation the officials made though
Pro Tip. When attempting a Hail Mary pass, a straight drop back instead of rolling out to your strong side greatly reduces the odds of success.....or even getting a pass off
