Looks like the USD guys were under the impression that they had to let it go 10 yards before touching it too.

I may have been overly optimisitic

Love the Bismarck games. Good start to something that should be annual. Maybe get to this(from previous thread) Bismarck Civic Center 2-3 day event NDSU and UND against Montana and Montana St. U Mary and Minot or Jamestown against a couple teams from the Great NW Athletic Conference and/or Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference BSC and UTTC against a couple JUCOS from Wyoming or Nebraska. maybe Mix in some High School teams from ND and SD.

This thread started in 2018 and here we are in the same spot.

Sometimes opportunities fall in your lap if you are in position to take advantage. Kennesaw State fired Brain Bohannon today. He is 53. He started the Kennesaw State Football Program from scratch in 2013, started playing in 2015. Went 71-30 in FCS, National Coach of the Year in 2017. Went 5-4 in the playoffs, twice advancing to the quarterfinals. Is 1-8 this season as they are transitioning to FBS.

This is like a controlled scrimmage.

Who had a The Hail Mary with 30 seconds left on their Bingo card today? anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

The play is too drop back to pass with the intention to run when he gets a little pressure. It seems like we tried to confuse the QB by not applying any pressure....but it still works.

If I was a neutral observer with zero emotional investment and just watching this game I would place it in the "it's really a shame someone has to win this game" category

Stats aside because of the different amount of time players were here. The top players in UND history based on play at UND and beyond in my opinion. Jonathan Toews Ed Belfour Troy Murray James Patrick Craig Ludwig Doug Smail TJ Oshie Zach Parise

The next two games are against teams that we are 17+ points better than. Need to figure it out.

Hated that whole series of play calls after stopping them on 4th down and having great field position.....put a fu^&ing team away!

Can't even imagine what the Michigan board looked like a couple of weeks ago when Minnesota State went into Yost and dumped the Wolverines.

Jackson Blake with his first NHL goal tonight!

Was going to mention Gino made some incredible coaching hires. Looking back I wonder of doing both jobs caused the Hockey program to suffer. They say recruiting catches up with you in a year or two....especially back then. Or maybe he was burnt out, but the last 3 seasons we went 40-69-6 finishing 7th, 8th, and 8th in the WCHA.

Providence came out ready to play but I don't think it is fair to say we weren't. We struggled at beginning of game with our breakout and their forecheck and then dropping into a trap in the neutral zone. I was happy to see us make adjustments on the fly rather than waiting until the period ended. The timing coincided with the late shot and skirmish but we had started making the changes a couple shifts earlier. We put a little trust in our defenseman and instead of trying to break out in a 5 man unit we had a couple forwards spread them out by drifting out of the zone between center ice and the far blueline. Emery made a couple beautiful tape to tape passes from the endline to the far blueline which caused them to back off on their forecheck a bit and allowed us to hit the 3rd forward skating horizontally and we were able to bypass the neutral zone mess they had been creating and started being able to enter their zone with speed.

Yeah. I was thinking along the lines of playing D1 in which case he would have one year left. I have heard a rumor he may head to U Mary which would give him an extra year. The Five-Year Clock in Division I In NCAA Division I, student-athletes are bound by what is commonly referred to as the "Five-Year Clock." Simply put, you have five calendar years within which to complete four seasons of competition. Remember that this is a continuous five-year timeframe, which means you cannot take a few years off in between. The Ten-Semester/15-Quarter Clock in Division II When it comes to Division II, the eligibility clock functions a bit differently. Student-athletes have either 10 semesters or 15 quarters to complete their four seasons of competition. The distinct aspect here is that the clock only moves when you're enrolled as a full-time student. If you decide to take a semester off or enroll part-time, the clock pauses, affording you greater flexibility.

Once you start college, you have 5 years to play 4 seasons under NCAA rules. This would be year 4 for him whether he is in school or not.

Yep. We had 3 guys get absolutley blown up on opening kickoff which should have been a wakeup call. Like they say, everyone has a plan until they get punched in the teeth.
