Not to mention his own family basically gave him an allowance to stay away from the family business.....weird that the people of Minnesota trust him with the state money when his own family wouldn't let him near the family business and just tries to keep his meds balanced. of course Minnesota doesn't have the best history of electing sane competent people to office....Ventura, Dayton, Franken(well assuming he is elected this time), Bachman, and others. I could probably include Wellstone and Klobachar here too but Wellstone never ran on one thing and did another. He laid out who he was and what he would try and do if elected and then did it.(I can respect that even if I disagree with it). Klobachar has kind of grown into the position.(I think she probably had a bunch of idealogues who helped her with the first election and then moved them into staff positions initially until they started making her look crazy and I think she has more capable staff around her now)

Well I am in district 27 now instead of 41 although I still get calls regarding my choices in 41. It is about time the Dems nominated someone in this district who isn't a left wing kook or someone looking to be a career politician. Truth be told Carlson and Grande should both go.... Davison is solid for the Senate though(gotta support my old baseball coach!)as long as the Republican's maintain a strong majority in the house I am OK with thinning the herd a bit.

UND needs to be able to stay on the field and grind out first downs to have a chance. As you say pace of the game is huge. EWU games thus far have an average of about 155 snaps per game compared to the average UND game with 126 snaps.....I know the game is still 60 minutes but you could say that is similar to extending the game by another quarter....for reference, NDSU games are around 130 snaps a game but their offense is a bit more efficient than ours....or a lot. For comparison's sake as I realize that 2 of these teams are better than the other, but EWU averages about 7.2 yards per play and snaps the ball about 80 times a game while giving up 6.3 yards per play on 74 snaps. NDSU averages about 6.4 yards a play and snaps it about 69 times a game and gives up just 4.2 yards a plays and only allows 61 snaps a game while UND is only averaging 4 yards per play and snapping it 58 times a game while giving up just 4.9 yards per play and allowing about 68 snaps a game. A healthy NDSU vs. a healthy EWU game would be very interesting. EWU would need to get up a couple scores to have a chance in my opinion. If they got behind and NDSU started grinding out first downs running the ball and running the clock they would have a hard time keeping their QB upright when they did get the ball.

If they had 2500 tickets available then anyone over priority number 750 will have needed members above them to turn down tickets and/or not use all available to them.

I think each school initially gets 500 tickets, so there should be roughly 1000 up for grabs now and then depending on how the other schools in the West Regional choose to use their allotment more could become available the week of. Has anyone heard how the Suite holders at Scheels are making out on this deal? I know part of the initial offer when the Suites were for sale was tickets to every event at the arena.

I think Mariucci is right and I said it back when the B10 was starting up that if this does not lead to schools adding hockey it will have been bad for college hockey.
