  1. Nah. As long as they paid protection money to gfhockey everything would have been fine.

  3. UND needs to be able to stay on the field and grind out first downs to have a chance. As you say pace of the game is huge. EWU games thus far have an average of about 155 snaps per game compared to the average UND game with 126 snaps.....I know the game is still 60 minutes but you could say that is similar to extending the game by another quarter....for reference, NDSU games are around 130 snaps a game but their offense is a bit more efficient than ours....or a lot. For comparison's sake as I realize that 2 of these teams are better than the other, but EWU averages about 7.2 yards per play and snaps the ball about 80 times a game while giving up 6.3 yards per play on 74 snaps. NDSU averages about 6.4 yards a play and snaps it about 69 times a game and gives up just 4.2 yards a plays and only allows 61 snaps a game while UND is only averaging 4 yards per play and snapping it 58 times a game while giving up just 4.9 yards per play and allowing about 68 snaps a game. A healthy NDSU vs. a healthy EWU game would be very interesting. EWU would need to get up a couple scores to have a chance in my opinion. If they got behind and NDSU started grinding out first downs running the ball and running the clock they would have a hard time keeping their QB upright when they did get the ball.
  4. If they had 2500 tickets available then anyone over priority number 750 will have needed members above them to turn down tickets and/or not use all available to them.

  9. USCHO has had this going for a few years now and has added regional and other belts of interest.
  10. Correct 1-100----up to 6 tickets each 101-400---up to 4 tickets each 401 and up---up to 2 tickets each Did you use the "Common Core" method? I think each school initially gets 500 tickets, so there should be roughly 1000 up for grabs now and then depending on how the other schools in the West Regional choose to use their allotment more could become available the week of. Has anyone heard how the Suite holders at Scheels are making out on this deal? I know part of the initial offer when the Suites were for sale was tickets to every event at the arena.

  13. I think Mariucci is right and I said it back when the B10 was starting up that if this does not lead to schools adding hockey it will have been bad for college hockey. That said keep an eye on the following over the next few years. Nebraska Texas Florida Gulf Coast Illinois Arizona State Rutgers Maryland

  15. Not sure why it is, but every time gfhockey posts I think of this guy http://www.bluesbrotherscentral.com/images/profiles/characters/charles-napier.jpg

  19. While I agree with many of your points, I shouldn't be able to sit in my livingroom and score 100% on the old QB1 game in predicting our offensive play calls. So obviously Bubba and Rudolph have no confidence in Mollberg to throw and our offensive line to protect......then I truly believe Mollberg should of had 12-15 designed runs tonight to at least try and take a little heat off Norberg. I like this kid running the ball but when 7041 people know he is going to run how effective can he be? I like the fact that he hits the hole hard and always runs north south....but give him a fighting chance.
  20. I heard through the grapevine that a couple weeks ago all 3 coaches were in NW Canada looking at a kid who could be "Toewslike" in that he will likely be a top 5-10 pick but he has made it known he would like to play college hockey. Any insiders here have a better idea than I do who we could be looking at?
  21. It is a scary thought to think that position likely pays over minimum wage and allows them to work more than 10 hours a week.
  22. I see Kelly O'Keefe has a strong background in branding and it is great that he is a consultant but no one on the actual task force has any background in tis area. They didn't even think to pull someone from UND's marketing department. I remain skeptical. I want a name and logo that won't become a laughingstock while realizing that this new name and logo will likely remain in the background for the next 30-40 years.
  23. The fact that there doesn't seem to be anyone on the committee with a marketing background or experience in collegiate licensing is more than a little troubling. With companies in the area like Lake Shirts(Blue 84), CI Sport, Coaches Choice(in full disclosure, my employer and a big NDSU supporter), and even S&S Promotions. One would think they could find someone like a Rick Fletcher from CI whose company works with collegiate licenses all over the country and would have valuable input into what works and what doesn't from a marketing and logo standpoint, or a Brad Ness from S&S who currently have the Green and White clothing line and I believe is a UND alum, or my brother who was a collegiate buyer for Scheels for 10+ years and has worked with colleges and licenses all over the country for Coaches Choice and is also a UND grad or Jason Loney from Scheels who is also a UND grad would make sense.
  24. Doesn't matter, I live in Fargo so I have learned to extrapolate....going forward, anytime they play a top SEC team close or beat them, that means that UND would beat that team as well and from what I can tell this goes on in perpetuity.
  25. Former Region 5, District 20 guy until the family moved from Linton to Bismarck. Linton Lions Napoleon Imperials Strasburg Clippers Zeeland Vikings Braddock Bobcats Hazelton Tigers Wishek Badgers Emmons Central Knights Hague might have been in this district as well?
