7-4 is the minimum level of expectation in year 6 with this tilted home schedule.

I would agree with this sentiment....although if the team again shows no interest in competing and it is apparent that Mussman can't get them to play with any heart or pride then I think the move needs to be made before the end of the season just so our players(especially kids who are redshirting and sophmores and freshmen who are currently in back-up roles) know that things are going to change. Might keep them from exploring their options, although if this staff recruited them we can only hope they are legit FCS caliber players. I don't like having to go with an interim coach but it might be the only option as it is unlikely that we would have a coaching candidate at this point in the season.
  3. Does anyone in the know have info on the undersized Galindo kid from Bismarck High as to whether he is a prospect for FCS? If he goes D2 he is going to put up ridiculous numbers but not sure it translates to FCS level. I went to the BHS/South game the other night and I know NDSU and UND are both looking at the Junior from South(Johanneson) but came away impressed by Galindo. he is 5-7 170 and was easily the fastest player on the field(in game conditions anyway) and his balance was incredible(state champion wrestler). He had 29 carries for 410 yards and 6 touchdowns. I thought I was watching Weston Dressler again but not sure if he can make transition to receiver like Weston did, but also not sure he couldn't stay at running back?
  4. Both these guys have pretty decent track records prior to NDSU
  5. I would add these 2 guys to the list. http://www.gobison.com/coaches.aspx?rc=598&path=football http://www.gobison.com/coaches.aspx?rc=590&path=football I don't want a coach who is going to continue molding us into a second rate "Big Sky" type team.....we need to return to physical pound the ball and have a nasty defense that teams hate to play against..... Does anyone think our teams in the 2000's would have given up 55 and 63 points to these teams even as a D2 funded team? I am certainly not saying we would have won these games but I am saying that Montana and Montana State would have at least had to crack some icepacks for the trip home.

Do you know who Greg is? He was a volunteer coach and one of best offensive linemen UND has had(NFL caliber). http://laworgs.depaul.edu/journals/sports_law/Documents/Redlingshafer%20med%20mal.pdf He walks with a cane and with a lot of pain but because of his dedication to UND fought through it and volunteered to come out and help. Now I am not privy to the parking spot story but if true.......
  7. Step outside and get some air....while you are out there, take a lap.
  8. Had on a Under Armour Sioux polo....must not have been you I saw then....just didn't think there were a lot of Bison fans in attendance. The guy I saw had on a green polo with Bison logo and was in the endzone walkway getting bukkakeed by a handful of Griz fans.
  9. I think I saw you there. Were you the guy in the Bison logoed polo with dirty knees and griz jizz running down your chin?

Lou can coach for sure...he also had a great knack for knowing when to cut and leave.......i.e. the NCAA is coming through the front door and Lou was heading out the back door.
  11. I would guess that Phil Hansen would be the guest picker......but......with them doing it outside the Fargo theatre, they might trot out Kirsten Rudrud.
  12. Relax. Do you ever watch Game Day? This is par for the course.
  13. No NCAA autograph scandal here....we sign other people's names! You want Manziel's autograph? Sure, I can do a Manziel. Will sign petitions for food. Best Buy discount club member!

I guess we would have to find out. I would imagine a few offensive coordinators and defensive coordinators from FCS schools and probably some from lower level FBS teams as well. Maybe a couple head coaches from successful D2 schools(not interested). Probably a few position coaches from FBS teams looking for head coaching experience. I would think there are a few rising stars in the college football coaching ranks. As fun as our offense is at times to watch, I would rather go back to using scholarships to at least equally fund the talent on the defensive side of the ball. When we got in the Big Sky I was excited because I was hoping that the fact we played a different brand of football(at the time) than most of the Big Sky schools would make us the outlier in that conference and the team that other Big Sky schools hated to play instead of morphing into the soft non physical defense we now employ. I am not in the "well who would we get to coach camp?", rather I am in the "someone else camp". 7-4 is the bottom acceptable level of performance this season. I have no problem with the fact we lost to a damn good Montana team last night, what I have a problem with is we had no fire, we were unprepared, we were undisciplined, we made no adjustments to mistakes we made last week and certainly made no adjustments in game or at halftime....it is one thing to get your ass kicked, it is another to give the appearance that you are enjoying it.
  16. Muss was at Sioux Boosters in Fargo today and all but said that Mollberg will get the nod on Saturday.

7-4 is the minimum expectation for this team with this schedule. I can live with 7-4 and missing the playoffs, but anything less than 7-4 and it is time for a change....and by change I mean national search and fresh approach.
  18. Coaches Choice does quality work.* *shameless plug
  19. You forgot Central Michigan and Ball State...I think the Chippewas finished 8-6 and until Kansas State were by far the best FBS team they had beaten although not the biggest name. don't know how Ball State finished and don't care enough to look it up.
  20. First Budish has a moped incident, now Guertler has a moped incident on a coach's moped...............begs the question, do the members of the hockey program at Minnesota also like fat chicks?
  21. I believe Bohl and several of the defensive staff left a year or 2 earlier than Solich...but you are dead on. Nebraska is still trying to recover from Callahan.
