Ha. When I was in Student Senate I did everything I could to prevent that from happening. I had some angry people with me when myself and a couple others laughed at it and called it an embarrassment to the University and we refused to fund it............but they finally funded it through the letter winners I believe.(at least that who was in front of the Student Senate asking for $$$)

I tried to get them online. I had thought about going down to 300 tickets on Broadway in Fargo in which case I would have been even more pissed off if they weren't selling tickets until 11 and Scheels Arena basically sold out the event before they were even officially on sale. Guess we just have to wait and see which other schools make the regional and how many of their 500 tickets each they go through and then what those schools decide to do with any extras.....I would guess they would either a. sell them to UND; b. sell them themselves on the open market; c. turn them back into the NCAA for re-sale

Not to mention his own family basically gave him an allowance to stay away from the family business.....weird that the people of Minnesota trust him with the state money when his own family wouldn't let him near the family business and just tries to keep his meds balanced. of course Minnesota doesn't have the best history of electing sane competent people to office....Ventura, Dayton, Franken(well assuming he is elected this time), Bachman, and others. I could probably include Wellstone and Klobachar here too but Wellstone never ran on one thing and did another. He laid out who he was and what he would try and do if elected and then did it.(I can respect that even if I disagree with it). Klobachar has kind of grown into the position.(I think she probably had a bunch of idealogues who helped her with the first election and then moved them into staff positions initially until they started making her look crazy and I think she has more capable staff around her now)

Well I am in district 27 now instead of 41 although I still get calls regarding my choices in 41. It is about time the Dems nominated someone in this district who isn't a left wing kook or someone looking to be a career politician. Truth be told Carlson and Grande should both go.... Davison is solid for the Senate though(gotta support my old baseball coach!)as long as the Republican's maintain a strong majority in the house I am OK with thinning the herd a bit.
