  1. So if I am understanding things correctly. gfhockey is kind of the good ole boys group's "puffer".....got it.
  2. Well? I believe all those listed do in fact like women.
  3. So. Drop the puck. Call the penalty. Move the faceoff to their end for a 6 on 3 with .5 left.......................so your telling me there is a chance!
  4. Hockey East-1 ECAC-2 NCHC-3 Big 10-4 The top of the Big 10 was good with Minnesota and Bucky vs. SCSU and UND...edge Big 10 NCHC was 10-8-1 vs. Big 10...edge NCHC 3 teams in tourney vs. 2....edge NCHC As much as was made about the NCHC non conference record they still were superior to the Big 10 in games against each other and Hockey East and ECAC...the big 10 feasted on Atlantic Hockey(PWR needs adjusting as these games should not help your PWR).
  5. Was at that game. UND basically made the Gophers tap out in that game. After a while we would dump the puck in and their D would just let our forwards come in and take it so they wouldn't get hit anymore.
  6. I believe Holy Cross was 19 in the pairwise when the brackets were laid out. Also I think the Gophs were #2 overall behind Bucky. Bemidji State was actually about 28th in the pairwise. It was a big win because it hadn't happened before but now it would just draw a yawn.
  7. Just shows a person can watch something and still not understand it.
  8. I was at that regional and I will say the loudest I have ever heard The Ralph was when the Sioux hit the ice before the Michigan game....without a doubt it was loud when Holy Cross won but not even close to 30 minutes later when UND came out of the tunnel.
  9. BC is the youngest team in College Hockey.
  10. some of those rinks have the "wrong" sized ice
  11. Favorite Lou Nanne quote a few years back leading up to a Sioux/Gopher weekend. paraphrasing.."people tend to forget that physicality is a hockey skill and one that ND has plenty of and excels at and our Gophers have very little of "
  12. Someone already brought this up....and it is still accurate.
  13. Sweet Pass from Chorney! He had a pretty good look himself but drew 2 defenders and unselfishly dished it to Bina.
  14. They have buses for ground transport so they usually book hotels outside of the city. On Expedia, hotels near the arena are around $300 a night while your Hampton Inn's, etc. a little ways out are around $150
  15. I get that the hotel is $150...divided by 2 so $75 tickets are $200/each person That leaves $675 difference from flying out of Minneapolis. Creative charters is who UND and Minnesota used in 2005 and is who Minnesota is using this year. Not sure who UND is using? It may be them as well but the price difference is quite a bit?
  16. So is UND using a different charter company than in the past? I know in 2005 I ended up taking the gopher charter out of Minneapolis and UND was using the same company. Seems to be quite the price difference this year. UND is charging around $1800 for double occupancy which includes 3 nights hotel, air, ground transport and tix while Minnesota is charging $850 for 2 nights hotel, air, and ground transport but no tix.
  17. I am going to go with Jay Bilas and J Williams since they know a little more about basketball than most, in their assessment of RPI and the work of the selection committee.....teams and conferences have learned how to game the system. They said the committee was lucky this year in that the teams that were in the tournament was pretty cut and dry but based on what they were hearing the seeds were going to be a little dubious(this was on Sunday morning when they were discussing this) and they were correct....with teams like Louisville and Michigan State having 4 seeds and having teams like NC State and Xavier technically seeded behind NDSU and Harvard certainly do not do anything for the credibility of the selection committee and their leaning on RPI instead of actually using the "eye test" and watching teams play. By the way Bilas is picking the Bison over OU. As far as Summit vs. Big Sky, I think it is foolish to not think that NDSU, IPFW , and SDSU wouldn't all be competitive in the Big Sky conference and NDSU would have a shot at finishing in the top 2. That said any of these teams could have just as easily finished 8th as the depth of the league is far greater than the Summit. The top 9 Big Sky teams would all easily be top 5 Summit teams. I think Weber deserved a better slot than they got. Their non conference losses were to tourney teams BYU and UCLA, a regular season conference champ who lost in their conference tourney in Utah Valley and to Colorado State and Utah State. I think they should have been ahead of Western Michigan, Milwaukee, NC Central, American, Wofford, and possibly Eastern Kentucky which would have pushed them to a 14. NDSU probably got a slightly beneficial slot at 12 as I would have had NC State and Xavier ahead of them in the band of 12 seeds and then Tulsa and Manhatten as well so they would have been the first 13 or last 12 so I don't think they are as over seeded as many UND fans want to believe.
  18. Thank you to The Ralph or whoever was responsible for stopping this madness tonight!
  19. Oh wait. So you actually think the bison are better than Weber? That's adorable, now go back to the kiddie table, adults are talking.
