  1. So from what you are saying, Darrell is an idiot. You make a pretty good case, I agree.
  2. Not to mention the competition level in the conference. Big 10 is arguably the 5th best conference for hockey right now. I would rate them 4th, but that is best case scenario.
  3. They don't have Carson in the top 5? That is all the FCS needs is a highly skilled Carson Wentz with a chip on his shoulder and his own bulletin board material.
  4. Seriously. It is time that someone in this country is appointed to the position of telling the perpetually offended that "your complaint is invalid, shut the !@#$ up and go be productive." I volunteer to take on this position in an unpaid role.
  5. The Dems have always been running the long con.
  6. Willing to take on a new name when one that isn't brutal comes along......hasn't happened in this process unfortunately.
  7. Well. when you put it like that.....works for me
  8. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
  9. I don't think you know what hypothetical means?
  10. Damn. Happened minutes after rumors of Oshie and/or Shattenkirk going to Philly.
  11. Peacemakers anyone? http://www.montanaterritorypeacemakers.org/images/gunfighter_animate.gif
  12. The best name and option of the 7 is easily North Dakota. I fully expected that among the hundreds of names submitted that something would emerge from the pack and make sense as a new moniker for UND but for whatever reason it just didn't happen. Maybe it was in the original pack of names and was hastily removed. Of the names left, North Dakota is the best option since it doesn't tie us down to a mediocre name like Roughriders or Green Hawks and down the road if a name organically makes sense we can make the transition then....North Stars is head and shoulders above the rest but just doesn't fit unfortunately. The rest don't even quality as mediocre. I will always support UND no matter which direction they go, but again for me, nothing here would dissuade me from remaining a Fighting Sioux and referring to UND in that manner.
  13. Name or no name the reality of the situation is...20 years later. To this day, at Marquette basketball games, chants of “Let’s go Warriors” echo in the Bradley center. Hardly anyone refers to Marquette as anything but The Warriors. I am sure many were hopeful that during this process something would emerge as a name that made sense and 1 name would set itself apart from the rest and UND could adopt a name that people would eventually get behind. A noble effort but it didn't happen. Stay North Dakota and maybe over time something will naturally take place that leads us to adapting a new nickname. Could I live with roughriders? sure. Could have probably lived with Explorers or Roughnecks as well. Does that mean we should? I don't know. I see myself in the Marquette camp in that UND will always be The Fighting Sioux to me whether we choose a new name after this failed process or go by The University of North Dakota. Am I going to support UND either way? yes. Here is a question. With the changing landscape of the Power 5 conferences and the NCAA under continuous litigation, will the NCAA in it's current form be the governing body of College Athletics 10 years from now? 20 years from now? http://dailycaller.com/2014/07/19/bye-bye-ncaa/
  14. Our game plan has never been to dump and chase. It is a decision making process and we may lean to the conservative side of not turning the puck over at the blue line.
  15. I expect Tomek to win the job as well as it is possible he will be one of the most highly drafted goalies we have ever had.....but a lot of it is confidence and if Cam can get his back it could be interesting. Cam Johnson's numbers are not that different compared to Zane's in their USHL careers. Zane's first year he was 14-8-0, 2.23, .908 on a 33-22-5 team Cam's first year he was 14-8-6, 3.07, .909 on a 38-17-7 team Zane's second season he was 26-16-4, 2.22, .921 on a 31-23-6 team Cam was 13-15-4, 3.07, .922 split between a horrible Force team and a Good Sioux City team.
  16. I....I don't even....nevermind
  17. sadly that explains a lot. Unfund the government?
  18. I have a crazy idea. How bout we follow the existing rules and regulations. If you are unable to then you go back. Path to U.S. Citizenship This page describes the most common path to U.S. citizenship, which allows a green card holder (permanent resident) of at least 5 years to apply for naturalization. Other paths include: •Green card holders married to U.S. citizens •Green card holders in the military and their family •Citizenship through parents Eligibility Requirements If you are a green card holder of at least 5 years, you must meet the following requirements in order to apply for naturalization: •Be 18 or older at the time of filing •Be a green card holder for at least 5 years immediately preceding the date of filing the Form N-400, Application for Naturalization •Have lived within the state, or USCIS district with jurisdiction over the applicant’s place of residence, for at least 3 months prior to the date of filing the application •Have continuous residence in the United States as a green card holder for at least 5 years immediately preceding the date of filing the application •Be physically present in the United States for at least 30 months out of the 5 years immediately preceding the date of filing the application •Reside continuously within the United States from the date of application for naturalization up to the time of naturalization •Be able to read, write, and speak English and have knowledge and an understanding of U.S. history and government (civics).******************************** •Be a person of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the United States during all relevant periods under the law******************** Hell, just enforce the last 2. Whatever Agency brought you over here will be forced to reimburse any and all government funds they may have received and also pay for returning the criminal back to his/her homeland. They will than hopefully do a better job of vetting any future potential US Citizens since it hits them in the pocketbook. They should also be monitored on their "success" rate and if it is below a certain standard they get unfunded entirely.
