Adrian Peterson wants trade to Cowboys
petey23 replied to fightingsioux4life's topic in Non-collegiate sports
Who isn't? The Dems are mad at him, the Republicans are mad at him, most of the sane people in the state are mad at him, and now AP is mad at him. -
Well. Things will obviously change over the next few weeks but the NCAA will try and do everything it can to avoid first round conference vs. conference matchups. In 2008 you had a unique scenario where the #2 seeds were CC, DU, SCSU, and BC with BC being a host team and you had Bucky and Minnesota as #3 seeds with Bucky hosting, along with Sparty and Clarkson....so the DU and Bucky first round matchup was unavoidable. The committee has no problems moving a team within there seed from 12 to 9 and vice versa but they have been very hesitant to ever switch around a 12 and 13 or a 9 and a 8 for some reason?

This is what I had as well....one other consideration. Since Mankato is already bent over and in the prone position(drawing SCSU instead of RMU) why not just flop the South Bend and Providence Regionals.....better attendance in South Bend with Miami, Bowling Green, and Tech and BC doesn't have to get on a plane.

Pretty sure they will be in a hotel in Fargo. I know for the Regional in St. Paul a couple years ago the Gophers were staying at a hotel in St. Paul.

My guess is Lucia just watches the selection show and is happy wherever they go.

His name ain't Hootie. Saw a concert at Midway Stadium several years ago and some girl kept hollering "I love you Hootie" and "whoooo Hootie" between every song and he finally stops and annoyingly looks at her and says "My name ain't Hootie"

I agree. I think he was on the verge of sitting on Saturday after he took that ridiculously stupid penalty and then he ends up with 2 helpers after that.
-
Hell, in Ohio damn near the whole state is Buckeye fans regardless of where they went or go to school.
-
Now if we could get him to quit taking stupid, SELFISH penalties. It seems like every time he takes a stupid unforced penalty the puck ends up in our net.
-
I unfortunately heard it loud and clear in section 106

Well. It seems a few are trolling Hammy(according to him) on Twitter, but trolling the troll is alright with me.

How about the 2 of you work together, harvest your vast knowledge and see if you have enough firepower together to figure out how to brown bread.

I would agree with that assessment. It seems like the Gophers always seem to have 12-13 out of 15 forwards who do not do well if they aren't in a top 6 role. A couple years ago they did pick up some grittier forwards but they are usually short in this aspect.

Nope. Just gave some background as to why Terrel may feel that way. By the way, would it surprise you that some high school athletes will sometimes make a decision on what school they attend based at least partially on the schools apparel and shoe deal. The Harrison twins for Kentucky had their decision come down to Kentucky and Maryland....2 schools not exactly on even recruiting ground but because they were Under Armour devotees Maryland almost wrestled them away.....well that and Maryland probably doesn't have the same type of, umm, "funds" that Kentucky has for basketball.

And just posted this due to timing(received this email today from Promo Marketing) and being in the industry(corporate and athletic apparel). http://magazine.promomarketing.com/aggregatedcontent/under-armour-ceo-calls-adidas-our-dumbest-competitor?e=MIKE@COACHESCHOICEONLINE.COM#utm_source=threads&utm_medium=enewsletter_headline_story1&utm_campaign=2015-02-11

I don't know the nature of his injury but..... 2011-12 (Freshman; New Mexico State): Played in six games for the Aggies in 2011-12 before sustaining a season-ending injury 2013-14 (Junior; New Mexico State): Did not see any game action. I know in 2013-14 he was initially suspended but remember hearing that he had an injury that didn't allow him to return to action. 06/23/2014 LAS CRUCES - Terrel de Rouen hoped to return to New Mexico State, but ultimately determined it would be more beneficial to leave his hometown to finish his college basketball career. The former OƱate and Aggies guard said Monday he had signed to play at the University of North Dakota after a three-year stay at NMSU that included two significant injuries and a suspension prior to the 2013-14 season. After a season-ending knee injury in his freshman season of 2011-12, de Rouen also underwent micro-fracture foot surgery in the weeks following the Aggies' NCAA Tournament season of 2012-13. On Monday, de Rouen said he was cleared to begin running two months ago. For the record I have no idea why Jones and staff are not happy with the Addidas program and am not saying they have an inferior product.....it does appear that Terrel has had less than good luck with Addidas shoes though?

Lets just say of the 17 posts in that time thread, 12 of them were completely moronic. If you can figure out which side your post(s) fell on then good for you....if you can't, well then, it's probably bad news. I was actually surprised by a couple posters who are usually fairly level headed and intelligent, but the majority were made by the same idiots who wouldn't know how to put on a jockstrap.

Pretty sure he was talking about the shoes. I gotta say though, I am pretty sure some sort of internet record was set this morning between 9:03 and 10:34 for the largest number of posts in 1 thread by people who have absolutely no clue what the hell they are talking about. Carry on.

Obviously teams will still move around a bit. This current bracket moves 2 teams up above their normal seed in the same region and creates a balance that is maybe a little to out of whack. You have 34, 33, 37, and 32. Basically moving the 15 and 10 to trade spots with the 14 and 9. I can see why you would want to move Providence but Quinnipiac moving is a stretch. It's all speculation at this time anyway. Problem is you have a logjam right now of Eastern teams filling the 16, 15, 13, 12, 11, and 10 spots and west teams filling the 1,2,4,5, 6,7, 8, and 9 spots.....need to mix those up a bit.

My buddy did a ride along in Fargo the other day. They had a DUI arrest where the guy was .44. My friend said the guy was fairly functional and able to converse at that level. The cops said the guy probably goes through life at around .25 normally.

1 ball was at that level. Do we even know if that ball was ever put in play? they have 12 and I don't think they rotate them in to use them all. How about the 2-3 refs that handle the ball on every down.....Not a Patriots fan but this whole thing was blown way out of proportion with half facts and most of the information not researched before ESPN had to "break" the story.
-
And numerous sources have said that more often than not the ref squeezes the ball and sticks it in the bag. They rarely use the gauge.
