  1. There have been a lot of guys who have been pretty useless this series for the Wild and a most of them are the highest paid guys. Pomminville, Vanek, Koivu, and Suter have been some of the most notable guys struggling.
  2. Good thing Yeo didn't opt for Ryan Carter again over Haula.
  3. The Wild have to be one of the worst teams in the NHL on breakaway and odd man rush situations. Dubnyk hasn't been great at all this series can't afford to give up 2 goals like he has tonight especially when your team is struggling to finish chances.
  4. That draft pick was like a 2017 2nd round pick so if Toronto was willing to take something that far into the future I'm sure he would be happy to make that move.
  5. I know you are probably joking but I'm sure Toronto would want too many of their young players and not sure the Wild would even have the cap space. If Toronto would take something like Pomminville plus a prospect for Kessel I would make that move in a heartbeat however I doubt that is something that would interest them. Pomminville has been a frustrating player for me this year and especially in the playoffs missing the net and whiffing on so many chances set up by Granlund and Parise.
  6. I wouldn't mind that signing at all they don't have a whole lot of prospects on the left side. The #1 thing for the Wild as soon as the season is over will be getting an extension done with Dubnyk and I would hope they have already had talks with his agent.
  7. Agreed with the amount of time that was put into it they sure didn't get much out of it. I wonder how much money they wasted on this investigation. I'm not a Patriots fan at all but this whole thing seemed like one big waste of time to me.
  8. Wild had some good chances but couldn't finish them and Crawford was pretty solid tonight. Dubnyk was very good for most of the game but the one that went in is one you shouldn't give up especially in the playoffs. Wild might win game 4 but can't see them coming back and they're going to have to take a long hard look at this team in the offseason. Koivu isn't a number 1 center on a good team anymore and maybe never was. They still lack guys that have great finishing ability and maybe the only one on the current team that I would put in that category is Zucker. One guy I would maybe look to move for a top 2 line center would be Pomminville a guy who was supposed to be that type of goal scorer but for as many chances as he gets doesn't finish on near enough of them.
  9. Good start from the Wild but then they got back to what killed them in games 1 & 2 with the careless turnovers. Dubnyk was solid but you can't give that goal up. The 4th line hasn't been good all series but looks even worse tonight with the addition of Carter in place of Haula. Would be nice to just once see the Wild stand up and do something when someone takes a late slash or little hit to one of their teammates like what happened at the end of the period.
  10. In this phase there were 13 full rounds before some teams started passing on their picks but a few teams are actually still drafting in the 22nd round right now.
  11. He hasn't been too bad so far. He hasn't been able to put the puck in the net which is what the Wild need from him but he has created some good chances and just not finished hitting a few posts in the Blues series. He did have 2 assists in game 1 against Chicago so hopefully that gets him going.
  12. Biggest key for the Wild the rest of the series is to cut down on the giveaways. Way too many giveaways through the first 2 games especially tonight and many of them are coming in the defensive zone or just outside the defensive blue line. The Blackhawks are a very good transition team you can't afford to just keep giving the puck away.
  13. He makes some plays that you wonder wow how did he pull that off and he will also make some that you wonder what the heck was he thinking. He was brought in primarily as another scorer and after a very slow start his production wasn't too bad with 21 goals and 31 assists. Some people freak out over every little thing with him and I think those people had the expectation that he was gonna come in and be the best player on the team which wasn't realistic at this point in his career. For me he has produced pretty much the way I thought he would and I don't mind him at all although at times he does get a little lazy which is frustrating.
  14. Quite honestly I'd like to see them put another one in next game in Schroeder for Cooke. Haula has looked pretty solid tonight finally getting a chance to get back in the lineup.
  15. Not a good play by Vanek to try to force that pass especially late but Suter has to be more aware the Hawks love the stretch pass.
  16. Suter has to make a stronger play on that goal. Dubnyk almost bailed him out but bad bounce of the knob of Dubnyk's stick. Couple good saves from Crawford on Brodziak and Parise.
  17. I'm guessing it is hard to get off of somebody when Keith is continuously cross checking you in the back into the goalie though.
  18. Absolutely nothing there on Vanek and the ref doesn't make a call until Crawford comes after him.
  19. Sounds like Fontaine will miss tomorrows game as well with an injury I'd like to see Schroeder in for him if that is the case and Haula for Cooke.
  20. The Wild have a good mix of guys with speed and guys who can grind a little along the walls and with the Blackhawks defenseman the cycle game worked pretty well for the Wild last night. Cooke looked completely out of place last night and couldn't keep up at all. There were a couple different times he caught the puck in the neutral zone standing still and before he could do anything a Blackhawk had tied him up from behind I think an easy change would be putting in Haula who was very good last year in the playoffs against the Hawks. The Wild were awful in the 1st period and Dubnyk wasn't great giving up a couple he regularly stops but if Pominville could have hit the open net late that game goes to OT. I'm pretty confident if the Wild play the way they can and did most of last series they will win this series.
  21. Agreed this is a series where you need as much speed as possible Yeo needs to put guys like Haula and Schroeder in and guys like Cooke can come out. Not a real good game for either goalie last night but we saw the way Dubnyk bounced back after game 4 of the STL series so I'm thinking he will bounce back well again Sunday.
  22. Not a huge fan of the Vikes 3rd round pick seems very early to take a chance on a project especially when you have other positions that need to be filled. Will be interesting to see if/when La'el Collins is drafted today and if he will actually sign after his agent said he wouldn't if he wasn't drafted yesterday.
  23. Should be some good players available for the Vikings I like the talent of both Beckham and the OL Collins and even though both have off the field concerns I would still probably take a chance on either if they are there. Would love if Alabama S Landon Collins fell to the Vikes pick but don't think it will happen. Should be able to get a solid linebacker with Kendricks, McKinney, and Perrymann all still on the board if they opt for that route too. A couple other WRs besides DGB still available that I wouldn't mind like Jaelen Strong and Devin Smith.
  24. I'm not a huge fan of those as the new home jerseys I actually like the green/wheat look but would like to see a redesign of the red jerseys.
  25. Really like the Waynes pick good fit at a position of need for the Vikings. Biggest surprise to me so far is Scherrf going #5 to Washington.
