I don't know that any were valid anymore, maybe the ST. Thomas one. The Providence offer was this summer and they seemed hard after him for a while he took a visit but they went another way.

Huge huge sweep. Gotta be a big weekend for the pairwise Guys continue to step up step in and contribute Young D keep improving, d zone coverage needs to keep getting better, goal each night just leaving a guy in the slot and d backed in on goalie Puck seemed to be bouncing like crazy could’ve been 2-3 more goals each way

I’d certainly take Gleason at CC and Batchelder and Arenholz as commits, Sarsland too although I think he reopened.
-
Probably not the primary but a primary like a 1A/1B type thing and it seemed that way in the Hak years. And maybe I shouldn't say metro but more just Minnesota as a whole and then GF/Fargo with the rise in talent in the region would be my primary focus. Off the top of my head TC guys Finley, Blood, Kristo, Gleason, Mattson, Gaarder, Poganski, Boeser, Gersich, Shaw.

And quite frankly it isn't acceptable and it just plain sucks. Definitely going to Minnesota and some Wisconsin with a couple Michigan and Notre Dame mixed in but look at a place like Colorado College and what they are doing in the metro, UNO has got a few as well, and then you have Duluth, Mankato, and St. Cloud. We should be going after and landing some of those types. Not sure if the coaching staff isn't focusing there as much or what but it should be our primary recruiting are.

Really big win last night. Guys continue to step up. Driscoll was solid. The Portz-Ness-Albrecht line gets better and better every week.
-
Schloss has in his notes Cooley was deciding between Minnesota and North Dakota. Another head to head loss. I know Hak was an absolutely relentless recruiter and maybe that is the difference or maybe Hak was just better at closing the deal.
-
Saw that one coming. Minnesota is gonna have some excellent high end forward depth the next few years.

As of now the Gophers have Battle, Ihnen, Fox, Payne, and Thompson for the 4/5 spots next season. Battle is a 3/4, Ihnen a 4, and Fox, Payne, and Thompson 4/5. Maybe they add one more big in the portal after the season. Right now I'd say Fox is the projected started at the 5 while Payne is a really really good incoming player I think they'd lean towards the veteran presence to start.
-
I follow Gopher basketball very closely and that isn't correct. Fox will play quite a bit and will play both the 4 and the 5.

Got the win and the sweep which was a must this weekend. Much more complete performance tonight. Lot of different guys contributing tonight great to see.
-
Just Win. Got it done playing basically a period of hockey. Played way too much on our heels tonight. Thought Caulfield, Kleven, and Frisch really were solid. Quit feeding every breakout to the boards. Have to complete the job tomorrow night with hopefully a much more complete game.

Another game you can't lose but somehow this team does it. Berry pretty much blames the loss on no Senden and Jamernik for the 3rd and said it was because of egregious plays by Omaha that they were out. Driscoll really seems to struggle tracking the puck at times. Had some really good chances that we didn't take advantage of. Couple empty nets that we couldn't finish on, a 2 on 1 you don't get a shot, breakaway you don't get a shot, goalie down and out you shoot it into his pad. Have to be better at taking advantage of opportunities.

Red Cows from OMAHA! @ UND -- Friday Gameday

Driscoll was real solid. Bast has put together a few really encouraging games in a row, thought Kleven had a real good game tonight as well. Offensively took advantage of the chances we generated. Have to finish the job with the sweep tomorrow. -

Man this search has really gone south quickly in my mind. Had two great options in Ryans and Harbaugh and now we have neither. Guess at this point I'd roll the dice on the offensive guy O'Connell but I'm not in love with any of these final 3 guys.
-
Vikings seem to be down to 4 coaching candidates. Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh, Rams OC Kevin O'Connell, Rams DC Raheem Morris, and Giants DC Patrick Graham. Disappointing to see DeMeco Ryans pull out of the race tonight as he had become my top guy after seeing Daboll and Hackett head elsewhere, I also would have liked Kellen Moore and thought they should have interviewed Brian Flores. At this point I'm hoping it is Harbaugh and I'd probably have O'Connell 2nd with Morris right there with him and Graham a very distant 4th. I don't really get the Graham interest at all and would be pretty disappointed if he is the guy.

Sweep?!? Clown/JBU @ UND -- Saturday Gameday

Big performance this weekend and a needed performance. Thought Portz-Ness-Albrecht line had their best weekend of the season by far and all seemed to have a little more jump. Sanderson's game tonight reminded me of the Duluth playoff game where especially in the OTs he just took over at times. Calder played maybe his best hockey of the season this weekend. Driscoll was really solid in relief, still think I'd go with Hellsten next Friday though but maybe go to splitting weekends? Moore has so many chances and Kleven as well lately, both have to feel just snakebitten. Need to continue to build. This weekend was a very good weekend but you can't celebrate it and say see look what we can do and rest on that for even a little bit. Guys have to continue to grow and find their best hockey of the year. Really need to take care of UNO next weekend. -
Just never know what you are gonna get outta this team. Most complete game this team has played all year. Really in attack mode tonight. Thought the passing and transition which has been awful all season looked like what you expect from a typical Sioux team. Took advantage of a few St. Cloud miscues but even with that left two wide open tap ins out there and 3-4 grade A opportunities. Hellsten was really really solid, couple huge sequences. Costantini was excellent, we've seen some flashes from him this season but the patience and playmaking tonight was on a different level. Thought Bast had some solid moments as the extra defenseman as well. Now bring that same type of energy, effort, and execution again tomorrow night.

UND @ WMU - Saturday Game Day - Let's get a win in 2022!

I understand we lost a lot off a loaded team last year my issue is why didn’t we have a couple stud freshmen in the pipeline? Those should be the guys stepping into the big roles lost by nhl signings not guys like Calder and Ford, those guys are the supplemental pieces. It just feels to me like we aren’t consistently bringing in the talent we should and that goes on this staff. I’m really not sure the issue because you have the history, tradition, facilities, amenities everything a top prospect could want so I don’t know if the staff is just getting out worked, slow on the process, lazy, not identifying talent, bad relationships or what. -

Just so disappointed with the lack of skill, speed, and overall talent on this team. Right now we aren’t recruiting at the level we should be and need to be. I do like what we have coming next year in guys like Blake, Spicer, and McLaughlin but our classes aren’t consistently at the top or that level like they should be. I don’t what the exact reason is but at North Dakota it can’t be bring in a average class, good class, average, great it needs to be consistently good/great. Having to bring in guys like Ford, Calder, Ferber, and Jandric and have them play a big role should’ve been a major red flag. Elite programs are hitting the portal for like one guy and it’s the top guys or maybe a goalie and they usually end playing a role. Look at Michaud with us last year, look at Cruikshank at Minnesota. Like I said I do like what we should have coming next year but looking more to the future it feels like the pipeline should be a lot more stocked with talent then it is and the staff is either just behind the pace that other elite programs are working at by choice or for some other reason but it doesn’t seem good. -
