  1. What does that have to do with absolutely anything? If you're going to feel the need to run lm around the internet defending someone by tossing out hypotheticals, then don't be surprised when someone responds in kind.
  2. You're right, it was closer to 5. You left out the 2 passes that defensive backs dropped.
  3. Yep, wish we could have someone like him. But that was almost 30 years and 4 presidents ago (not counting 2 interims). I'll take Armacost over anyone since Clifford.
  4. LOL. Bring back Kupchella I guess. Maybe Baker or Kelley? The reviews I've heard from a wide spectrum of people. Given the hand he's been dealt, quite a few no win situations but the feedback is pretty damn positive despite that.
  5. I'd guess Smith will move into that back-up/3rd string spot but the problem is we don't have anyone behind Mitchell who has his skillset (which is more Skokna-like than Weah-like). Possible one of the WR's slides in to that type of role of lining up all over the field. Keeping Weah and Skokna healthy just became that much more important.
  6. Big loss. He was going to be a contributor all over the field this year. Pretty bad break. Best wishes on a speedy recovery to him.
  7. Pretty sure Tim is hired by Learfield. Maybe he'd have insight into the media rights but it isn't the first place I'd be checking.
  8. Interesting (though I disagree). Doesn't UND contract with Learfield to help negotiate those contracts?
  9. It definitely won't be once they figure out why everyone is calling him Mike.
  10. Agree fully with this. Pretty obvious going to the REA that some of the shine has worn off. Our simple friend from the south was arguing a few weeks back that fan interest is still sky high. It is nowhere near what it was. He admitted as much today.
  11. Yes - 10/29/22 They get 100 complimentary tickets, no word on the split of others. Hopefully https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/hockey/7154661-Its-booked-UND-hockey-is-headed-back-to-Vegas
  12. Champions Club presale for single game tickets started this morning before going on sale to the general public later this week.
  13. Again, UND's ticket sales have zero to do with this. I know staying on topic can be hard for you but if you want to have a separate discussion about that, let's finish this one first. I clearly stated NDSU is in an enviable position in regards to most of the sub-division but interest is without a doubt dwindling. You're the one parading around here and claiming that it is still stronger than ever. Actual evidence clearly states otherwise.
  14. Single game tickets went on sale in Fargo yesterday. Based on current available inventory, I don't think Simple Dan will be taking the over on number of sellouts.
  15. Not a coincidence that changed within the last 2-3 years....
  16. This one always cracks me up. Literally only 8 teams make the NCAA tournament. They lost in the first round (admittedly in an epically close game to a powerhouse Gopher team).
  17. Things were on and there was plenty of distribution, but good luck trying to figure out what channel and/or what time anything was on. Their promotion of how/when to watch things was brutal. As it relates to being on the other side of the world, results and even the highlights or the entire events themselves were available on social media well before NBC was able to show them in "prime time" in ways they have in the past. No more waiting around the TV at night to see how things happened. I have no doubt their TV ratings were down, but that's pretty much par for the course for sporting events these days.
  18. I'm sure it had nothing to do with NBC butchering coverage along with the 14 hour time difference.
  19. Because Sanford names all of their clinics the exact same: Sanford Health <location> Clinic. I get where the existing clinic is coming from but its not like they picked some completely unique name and are being infringed on. Pretty sure there have been other iterations of "Grand Forks Clinic" in the past prior to them operating under that trade name.
  20. Given the league likes to use cheeky names, I think Abdominal Snowman needs to be in the running.
  21. There is a note on the roster page that says: Note: Players are listed as though eligibility progressed normally in 2020-21. Extra seasons of eligibility due to COVID-19’s impact on the 2020-21 season will be noted when they are utilized following a player’s regular senior season. So Vaughn and Belquist played more than 4 games, so without the free year, they would technically be sophomores as that would have been a year of eligibility used. Mitchell only played in 2 games, so under normal circumstances, he would be a R-Fr as he stayed under the 4 game threshold. Regardless of how they do it, it is going to be a bit of a mess but they are just going to act as if 2020/21 was not a free year and add one on for those who take and/or get the opportunity.
  22. They must have just switched it. He was listed as a DB this weekend, hence my confusion.
  23. Only caught a bit this morning but one thing that stuck out in some of the individual drills, and I'm not positive I saw it correctly, but it sure looked like Vaughn-Jones was really showing his motor practicing his edge rush. Since he's listed as a DB, I could be wrong, but it's possible they are giving him some reps at OLB which would be interesting with his speed.
  24. Haha. Nailed it. Durant got in a groove and just dominated. Hope people tuned in to watch. A lot of @OldTakesExposed material out there for this one.
