    UND @ ISU

Lot of young guys playing vanilla defense on this last drive. Nice hold to end it.

Masterful play calling. If he's covered, Tommy can get the two yards easily himself.

It's in the playbook and will come in time.

Yikes. Glad to see Boltman in especially with Maag limping off there...

Strange what the proper execution does!

Two touchbacks is a nice start for the special teams

    They are different situations.
  8. Add an hour or two of cold smoke before sous vide to up the flavor.

Belquist didn't travel. Boltman will test his leg before the game. This team is completely different than 2 years ago, UND rolls.
  10. Plenty of issues to go around. Some controllable, some not. They definitely compounded though.
  11. Within a month if I had to put my money on something. More than a couple reasons for the delays but it is going to be a big thing for downtown once its up and running.
  12. It will be done in phases just like The Lights in West Fargo. All 3 won't be done at once.
  13. Pete Carroll really going all in on pounding the rock this year.
  14. I'd expect a bit of a snap count, especially for BB. Test it out and see how it feels. But the prospect of both of them out there is a game changer for the offense.
  15. He's the definition of a guy who won't give up and grinded until he got the shot he thought he deserved.
  16. Well, the good news is there is a D1 university in the state who bases their athletic offerings on what students would like to participate in. Seems like a much easier route than a pointless lawsuit.
  17. Not a single comment about baeball or swimming & diving? Programs that actually had a history and tradition? And glad to hear Chuck is hoping UND is anchored with a huge financial burden.
  18. People are upset with a player that committed to come back to UND changing his mind after getting new information on his chances at the next level and took it. That spot is (reportedly) being filled by someone who committed to play in the BCHL this year but due to changing circumstances, got his shot to come to UND and took it. Just want to make sure we're collectively being consistent with our "outrage" over people changing their decisions and doing what is best for their own development based on new information and opportunities.
  19. I want to make sure I get ahead of this so I know whether to be outraged or not. Are we supposed to be upset with this decision since he had committed to play with a different team this year already (even though the situation has changed) or do we give this one a pass since he's coming to UND and not from UND? Either way, glad they found someone and hope he makes the best of the opportunity in front of him.
  20. On the other hand, you would have had (valid) criticism if they would have made the call 2 or 3 weeks ago without waiting to see if numbers started trending down. Not a surprise, but they haven't. Anyone who didn't see this coming based on national and local trends are kidding themselves. Numbers are almost entirely in line with the exact same time last year (with about half the testing) on the way to a fall spike. Let's hope (for many reasons) that the measures taken over the last year means things start heading the other way quickly.
  21. How many years in a row has it been trending down? Not like it's a new phenomenon.
  22. None of the current players were Fighting Sioux either but.... For the record, I think it would be cool if they were the period correct uniforms.
  23. It's almost like there was a change in the information he based his decision off of. That isn't "doing whatever he wants, whenever he wants." You think maybe San Jose watched him in camp over the last week and decided to make a much more aggressive offer? If that same offer was made this spring, he would have taken it at the time? Not all that different than plenty here who have likely turned down an offer for a different job and letting your employer you aren't leaving only to get a much more significant offer and accepting it. While the timing is not ideal for UND and finding a replacement of equal skill-set isn't likely, making a decision 45+ days before the first game is in no way "a close second" to quitting mid-season. I would also be pretty confident that the coaching staff was in the loop as the decision was being made. But hey, according to some, he wasn't all that great anyway and others get to finally take out their built-up micro-aggressions from past issues and use this decision as cover for the criticism.
