  1. And we have a BINGO!!
  2. That's quite the jump. A bunch of younger kids making mental mistakes and guys being disappointed after losing a game and they are automatically checked out. I'll just say I disagree with your assessment. They still control their fate and understand that. If they lose a couple more games, then I'll buy into it. Will be an interesting game. Even with a win last week, UND would have still be an underdog and ranked lower than SIU who's coming in at #4, which on paper is one spot higher than NDSU was when UND played them. If they win, I believe it would be the 2nd highest ranked opponent UND has beaten (behind SDSU at #3 this spring).
  3. Well, easy decision now...
  4. Agreed. The investments that have went into other programs is noticeable. The football team not being housed in Memorial Stadium anymore is a prime example of that. And it brings down the fundraising need for HPC II.
  5. I've heard there have been quite a few injuries and their win against Seton Hall was one of the few times they've had everyone available but I haven't followed close enough to know if that's accurate.
  6. Do you believe the coach's would intentionally not put the best team out there and put themselves on the hot seat? If you've been to any practices (or read Tom Miller's practice reports), Tommy gives this team the best chance of winning game in and game out. Doesn't mean he's going to do it by himself, but none of the back-ups are going to either. But pretty fair to point out he only has 1 career FCS loss against a team outside of FCS Top 5 Ranked teams.
  7. Tom Miller has been critical in the past. And I don't think he's been hesitant to point out the self-inflicted mistakes that everyone has been able to see this season. Just curious what "crap" you'd like the athletic department to "call him on"? Is the Athletic Director supposed to have a 4 hour film session weekly with the coach and go over all the incorrect calls that are made? Even the experts on this board can't agree on half the things that go wrong or how they should be fixed. No one is happy to lose to USD. Big chance to right the ship against the #4 team in the country on Saturday, hoping they can regroup and get it done.
  8. Interior OL was supposed to have 3 new starters that had played a combined 6 games between them prior to the season, so they were going to be green regardless. But so far: The projected starting C has been hurt since fall camp and was replaced the projected backup LG. The projected starting LG was hurt early in the season, so the RT was moved in to try to fill in there. The projected starting RG was moved out the RT. The projected backup at RG had to step in and start. Want to know where the problems with the offense are? There's your answer. The only thing resembling normal from the projected OL going into the season is at LT (who's played very well). If the projected starting C can come back, I think that would likely help with a good portion of the problems.
  9. Again, this is all your opinion and nothing more. KEM is not Ralph but if you think the only thing they share is DNA, than you're the one who "needs to stop talking". Plenty of blame to go around with what happened with her and Kennedy and I'm not going to use a single point of reference as the only point of reference. If she truly didn't care about anything related to UND, she wouldn't remain on or actively involved with the REA Board of Directors or still be very involved with the Engelstad Foundation which is still very generous to UND. I have openly disagreed with some things but you're so far gone on the subject, you are only going to see and believe what you want.
  10. Yeah, you're misconstruing and/or misremember what she said (but I'm happy to stand corrected if you find something that says something else). Plenty to be critical of but that ain't it. Their foundation continues to be large supporters of UND whether it be privately or publicly. They continue to have good relationships with important people. After meeting the new President, I would think that bridge will be mended as well.
  11. Step down from your high horse. There's plenty to question/criticize (and I've done my fair share) but claiming she doesn't care at all and she has "made that clear" isn't accurate at all. I'm glad the people who are in charge of actually looking after UND and raising money don't share the same attitude.
  12. Disagree, they were just flat out mental mistakes. For whatever reason, penalties that weren't there in the spring have popped up this fall. Needs to be fixed ASAP, this team doesn't have that margin for error.
  13. As she should be. They have a fairly large contingent I believe. 20th Anniversary celebration for the REA this weekend.
  14. Disagree with that. The linebacker broke off coverage, came right at him and hit him right after he threw the ball. He closed very quick. I think the break in coverage is why he thought he could loft it up and it just sailed on him. Or he didn't see the safety and thought he was putting it in a spot where BB or no one would get it.
  15. I don't think he had the room to run upfield or to the right. He definitely had an option to just go down or throw it into the ground though I'd be interested to see the view from the end zone cameras to see if he maybe didn't even see the safety (blocked by the linebackers). Other than the ball slipping out of his hands, that's about the only other explanation I can think of. Regardless, was still a killer mistake by a QB who historically doesn't make them. Frustrating.

    The Yotes

Interesting nugget from Tom Miller: And if you don't think Bubba wants to beat the head coach from USD, not sure what to tell you. The staff won't be overlooking this game or allow a hangover after last week.
  17. He was getting hit by the defender who had previously been covering Belquist about half a second after letting the ball go. He stepped up like he was going to scramble and the defender left BB and came directly at him. That's when he made the decision to try to lob it. Just floated it too much. Again, not the kind of throw he ever makes that puts the ball in danger. Just one of those things.
  18. As mentioned earlier, this was the first 3rd/4th and short that QV has not converted on the last two seasons. After the Drake game, with the fumbles and him getting dinged up, It is fair game to question, but not because it wasn't a high percentage play. It has converted every time when called upon in those exact situations.
  19. It is already in place, just needs to be enforced:
  20. I've rewatched the throw multiple times trying to figure out what happened. That's just not a throw Tommy makes, ever. He was trying to lob it over the defenders head and give Belquist a chance to run under it but he was falling back as he was throwing due to a defender getting ready to hit him and it just got some extra air under it. Just a really unfortunate play all around. Also, the complaing from NDSU fans about the UND touchdown is laughable. It wasn't an illegal formation, Belquist and the far right WR were both on the line. Guessing they complaint is that the far guy is about 1/2 yard behind the ball, but his front foot is within the side judge's stance (who's standing on the line). He's also almost a full yard in front of the slot WR. And there was no one in motion (let alone two players). Everyone "set" when they looked over to the sideline and then Tommy called for the snap. Great call by UND.
  21. Yesterday was the first short yard conversion they've missed with him.
  22. It isn't just the fans, they have "media" folks covering them that have the same issues.
  23. Was out yesterday. Only change on it appears to be Ben Christian moving from backup to starting RG and Andrew Fenton is now listed as the backup. Last week' starter Colin Lavell is not listed.
  24. Think the refs will be willing to call OPI this time around?
