Was out yesterday. Only change on it appears to be Ben Christian moving from backup to starting RG and Andrew Fenton is now listed as the backup. Last week' starter Colin Lavell is not listed.

Think the refs will be willing to call OPI this time around?

Found Matt Entz's burner account!

They are putting some hitching posts in the overflow field across the street so it shouldn't that big of deal.

The game was in March, so personnel-wise, there isn't a whole lot that could be done between then and now. Need to hope the coaches learned from it and there are a few guys ready to step up who didn't play this spring.

Wow, it's almost like NDSU fans like to blow up how important they think an opposing school makes a single regular season game out to be. Have to maintain that illusion that you're everyone's Super Bowl in case of a letdown, amirite? I'm not sure how you would look at it, other than it is the state rivalry? Do you see it differently? Tailgate lots will be full and the game is already a sell out. No need to make it out to be more than it already is.

UND's site shows that it will be broadcast on Midco but doesn't mention WDAY/WDAZ. -I believe they (NDSU/KVLY) let Midco carry the game this spring, so it would make sense UND/Midco would reciprocate and allow NDSU/WDAY to carry it. -I find it slightly amusing that Forum Communications omitted the Midco broadcast as a viewing option
-
They tried a field level suite a few years back. Views were terrible and it was scrapped.
-
Now that Forum Comm has the contract, need to tow the company line to try to hold the value of what they paid for.

Agreed, but if you can stick him with a steady partner and let him swing away, he's so fun to watch in Four-Ball

People yelling loudly on a message board does not equate to the above. UND has held their enrollment much better than NDSU and continues to be larger, while NDSU has been decreasing. UND has increased their research grants significantly over the last decade, NDSU has had their research classification dropped (both are now in the same classification). Both schools have had to deal with significant budget cuts. One school addressed some underlying problems (by making some unpopular cuts that will set things up for greater success in the long run), the other relied on some more temporary fixes, hoping funding comes back. Go through campus, take a look at all the new buildings and tell me again how UND isn't pushing itself forward.

There's also a demand for it. There's not a great spot for large groups as there is at most 1 or 2 suites available. Wish they would find a happy medium where they left at least half of the catwalk open or if they weren't reserve, they didn't put it up. At worst, sell some spots as season ticket spots. I get it though, they feel there was an unmet demand and did what they could to capture that. As a city-owned venue, they do have a repsonsibility to look into those things. Maybe it flops and goes back to how it was.

They just did this year - Nate Benoit. The previous incarnation of the North Stars had one or two but that was obviously a long time ago.

I expect to see quite a bit of running from him this week. Going to need to keep a spy on him or at least do something to keep him contained. I'd rather he beat UND with his arm than his legs. Hoping Holinka has a few things drawn up, guessing he hasn't played against a 3-4 defense before.

Pretty sure NDSU spoke with Belquist as well but didn't deem him worthy of any sort of scholarship.

Carson Wentz taking Philly err Indy err DC by storm

Availability is a fairly important ability. -
Plenty of reasons for people not being able to make the trip as planned. But in my opinion, not "wanting" to follow the guidelines of a private business is a pretty weak argument for skipping out on a trip that's been almost 2 years in the making. Just my thoughts though. I have no doubt you have your own.

There has been plenty of tickets for face value available for the last 6-8 months at minimum, well before any mandate was announced. Appears it gives some people cover and feel better about not going though.

2021-22 University of North Dakota Hockey Season
jdub27 replied to Frozen4sioux's topic in Men's Hockey
Must have been working too hard in the oil patch to catch the announcement from almost 2 months ago. -
To a degree, yes, obviously it slows momentum. But noticeable in attendance? Maybe a few hundred at most. I honestly think weather has a bigger impact on both student and walk-up attendance than a win last week would have. Just my opinion though, could be completely off base. Just some points of reference: In 2015 after UND opened with a win over Wyoming, the following week's home opener/Potato Bowl had 9,800 in attendance. In 2016 UND opened with road losses to Stony Brook and Bowling Green and attendance was 11,500 for the home opener/Potato Bowl vs South Dakota (which for the record was a top 10 game ever at the Alerus). In 2017, UND got beat pretty good by Utah and the following week had 12,000 in attendance for home opener/Potato Bowl. 2018, Potato Bowl was the 2nd home game and 4th of the season. 2019, it was the season opener.

This was all the way from 20th Ave (Happy Harry's) through 38th (Target/Lowes). Right in front of the mall was particularly bad. Though I've still seen an accident or two even with the new turn lanes, but it is significantly better.
-
Really doubt that many people were waiting for that result to buy their ticket. If they were, they weren't that bought in to begin with. Expect 8-9,000 unless students show up or there is a huge walk-up crowd. Maybe decent weather help. Not ideal but it is what it is.

Lined moved from -8/-9 all the way down to -6.5. Surprised it went below 7. I'd assume that means money is coming in on UND.

I mentioned that when I stopped by to watch fall camp that MVJ seemed to stick out in one-on-one drills in terms of motor and athleticism. 6'5" is tough to replace in terms of length but I don't think the drop-off will be too bad. That's not a knock on Haas, I just think wehave some guys who are ready to step in.
