No it isn't. It was retired.

Isn't the positive that now anyone who has had it is considered immune for at least 90 days, so there shoulnd't be any worries as postseason tournaments get closer?
-
You forgot one more "if". Not a chance a 12-1 MWC champion is considered this year with Cincy already squarely in the mix. The week CFP rankings prove that out pretty easily. Two G5's isn't happening. His comment about a G5 being included is pointless unless he also decides "if" Cincy is going to lose a bunch of games this year as well.

Fair but you can't bring freshman in after the season. SIgning day was in November, at the beginning of the season. Nor can you expect them to develop that fast. So you are going to need to go the JuCo and transfer route and compete against everyone else who's trying to fill holes. And there aren't exactly a ton of all-conference caliber players that are looking to transfer to a low/mid-major conference. So you're going to need to roll the dice and hope that you hit a few. No argument that the depth and quality of the roster needs to improve. Hopefully there are some talented players looking for some minutes and there should be plenty of that here next season.

For WIU, out of their top 5 scorers/rebounders/minutes, they graduated one guy who was 2nd in minutes, 4th in scoring and 3rd in rebounding. With that returning nucleaus, it is a lot easier to bring in freshman and transfers to help with depth and fill those gaps. On the other hand, UND unexpectedly lost 3 guys who were their 1st and 3rd leading scorer, top 3 rebounders and the guys that were 1st, 2nd and 4th in minutes/game. And that doesn't even account for DAE leaving. I mean, call them whatever you want, the comparison of the holes each team ended up having to fill between seasons are completely different. Even thinking about what this team could have been this year with the players that left is incredibly frustrating. Even if they are able to keep just Tyree and Filip, their record is completely different. Not a secret that there are holes big holes to fill. Need to hold on to the core in the offseason and plug the holes however necessary.

Disagree. While he may have filled his spot in the line-up, Bruns committed April, 2020 and signed November, 2020, both before Tyree had even played a game in a UND uniform. Bruns was supposed to add depth this year and they were both supposed to be playing. Instead, he has been forced to take a huge step forward as a true freshman. And I think he's done a great job rising to the occasion.

Curious what the alternative would have been to replacing double digit players? None, it's a schtick to get people going. Any sort of turbulence and there are comments made. And it always works. Impressive, I doubt anyone had this on their bingo card. Blaming a nickname that was put in place 6+ years ago and a logo that is over 5 years old for the hockey team struggling? I mean.... Not to mention, it would be pretty hard to argue that the hockey team still has actually moved on from "Sioux hockey" to "Hawks hockey" whatever that means? There is definitley plenty of remenants of "Sioux hockey" left in the REA. And then one could bring up that UND never actually won a NC with the Brien logo but have one playing as the Fighting Hawks, but I digress.
-
My opinion is that T has been an upgrade. But they weren't able to replace Tyree or FIlip. And frankly, expecting them to is probably not realistic. Getting "equal talent" to an all-conference center and a freshman of the year PG isn't something that is going to happen at this level. Those players are looking to move up to mid-major or higher. It is frustrating, but the injuries this team has on top of departures is showing the lack of depth. Some stability on the roster this offseason would be very helpfu.
-
Its almost like unexpectedly losing a 1st team all-confernce player plus the freshman player of the year leaves a big hole in the roster, not to mention another starter who decided the grass was greener elsewhere. Toss in a couple injured starters and this is what you get. Team didn't really have the depth yet to absorb the offseason losses let alone the in-season injuries. There are some solid pieces that have been brought in, now the plan needs to be to keep them and bring in a few more and some depth that can actually contribute. Would have been real nice if Archambault had been playing for the home team last night, he would have been a good addition.

LOL No one is announcing anything.

Have you ever thought about an unpaid internship? Would look great on your resume!! What I do appreciate is that we have a passionate fan base, even though I don't always agree on sentiment or opinions. And I do absolutely agree that things can get better. I've send messages about similar issues I've come across as well. I've almost always had a positive response. While not great that some things need to be pointed out, it is at encouraging that things that are being brought to their attenion are addressed and in a timely manner.
-
Some of your criticisms are valid, and if you want to start with the AD for issues on the website, go for it. It's his department to run so I guess things roll uphill. But, just my opinion from what I've seen and know of things, you're overall sentiment is incredibly far from accurate. I'd be curious, did he take time to respond and if so, what was his response? Losing Mitch Wigness to the Alumni Foundation was a huge blow to the department and I doubt those shows have been anywhere close to filled. They could also use a couple extra employees to handle some of this stuff but there are budget limitations from keeping them from doing so.
-
I'd be fairly surprised to see the former. I think once a player has let the coaches know that they are looking at transferring, they wish them well and move on. Maybe he does end up back, but I would guess that scholarship money has been allocated elsewhere by now.
-
Just sit tight, there's still plenty of offseason left to be taught all the different ways that this season wasn't the success everyone outside of the elite football minds thought it was. Can't wait to hear how the experts declare us much closer to a bottom 15 FCS team instead closer to a top 15 FCS team that well respected unbiased algorithms show us as. (And now I'm going to get lectured on low expectations and thinking that nothing needs to improve!!)

Honestly, it's not complete nonsense but they want to do their own thing and have their own offerings of sports instead of what some of the higher ranking conferences require (meaning adding a sport or two). Thus, they are in the Summit who let them do that.
-
Based on college rankings. US News, Forbes, WSJ. Their endowment shows the ability to fund the program and/or raise additional funds if needed. Yes, non-D1 for everything but hockey. I know most fans don't care about these things but they are very relevant. And I would prefer playing BSU or Mankato over CC for a handful of reasons but there is a significant difference at an institution level Bemidji State and Colorado College. Ugh. I knew that when I typed the other one as well. Denver is another enigma. They want to do their own thing and will work with whoever makes it convenient and allowable for them, which is why they are still in the Summit. They didn't require them to alter their sports offerings like a few other conferences have requested.
-
The $60 million was the number needed to create an endowment so the program could be self-sustainable in perpetuity. Rouhgly 4% per year payout = $2.4 million annually to run the program.
-
Terrible idea. You always have a private school in the league. Keeps a lot more of those FOIA requests at bay. Plus college presidents like to be associated with like-minded institutions. While there are 3 non-D1 institutions in the NCHC, removing the one that is a top 100 college and has a $750million plus endowment seems like a poor choice..

Can't have positives if you don't test.
-
I think Lotysz is definitely in the mix assuming he can get back to form.
-
Or maybe not that many people have had bad experiences? While I've heard from a handful of people who didn't enjoy their meal, the large majority have been impressed with no hesitation to go back. Looking through the reviews, there are both negative and positives, so not sure where you get the lack of objectivity? And while I get your commentary on the side dish things (and actually don't disagree), the concept from the beginning was to be a true steak house, which is how the majority of them have their menu set up. Not every restaurant is going to be for everyone. But my opinion is that it is a welcome addition to the dining scene in Grand Forks.
-
Majority of reviews I've heard have been very positive.
-
Both are fair points. The Med school is actually in Omaha, so considered "off-campus" and not part of their campus research numbers. There were some behind the scene things going on that led to Nebraska being voted out but they were aware it was coming. It still took a 2/3's vote to get them out.
-
Guessing Midco (for UND) and WDAY (for NDSU) also have a say in the start times.
-
To where? Are you talking hockey only or all sports? MVC, which is losing it's luster, would be the only other realistic option at this point. Unless a conference from further away decides they wants a MSP/StP presence. Like pretty much anyone else, I don't think they will let their hockey affiliation be the sole determiner to dictate the home for their Olympic sports, especially since the majority of their hockey options are single sport conferences or will allow affiliates.
