Hilarious and sad if true. Since they are so concerned, I'm sure they will be all over people who will be continously screaming vulgar chants that include the Sioux name as well. I won't hold my breath since they haven't done anything about them the last decade plus and it happens at every game.

No, I'm saying that they didn't show even close to all their cards for next week (or conference play for that matter) nor did they need to. I don't recall a single designed run for the QB nor anything that more or less wasn't some variation of a power run after UND got up. Base formations pretty much across the board. UND got a comfortable lead and then quit throwing the ball, which they were doing with little issue. Seemed anytime the defense wanted to ramp it up and get pressure, they were able to do it and were successful. Why reach deep when you don't have to? That being said, UND should have been able to continue to control the game even playing vanilla and struggled, not to mention the fumbling issue, the coaches have plenty of material to work on this weekend.

Defense shored very well after the first drive. Stayed pretty basic unless they needed a sack and then proceeded to blitz and get one. Dropped INT's were a little disappointing. Offense clearly didn't show anything more than they had to. Drake sold out to stop the run, UND responded by throwing the ball pretty well until they were up 3 scores (should have been 4), Rudolph clearly put the playbook away in the second half. The fumbles are definitely a huge concern and the O-Line blocking wasn't anywhere what I thought it would be and those are issues that need to be fixed. That being said, I also think it was incredibly obvious that UND showed absolutely nothing more than they had to yesterday. They could have kept their foot on the gas but opted not to. Leaves questions for the fans but it also doesn't give the FargoU staff anything extra to work with.

If the coaching strategy and execution by the team is at the level it was against Wyoming and UND still gets blown out, then my I will definitely tip my hat to NDSU and congratulate their fans on my way out of the FargoLoaf on their likely upcoming 5th straight title because it would be a pretty significant and surprising improvement from game 1 if that happens. If UND gets blown out because of poor coaching and poor execution, I'll be disappointed on UND laying an egg after looking like things had turned the corner last week against Wyoming (which they definitely still left a lot of room for improvement despite the fairly dominant victory). What I don't want to see is something similar to Missouri St. last year where a game that was relatively close snowballs into a complete disaster because of untimely, self-inflicted mistakes. I think our defense is significantly better than last year and has the capability of making some game changing plays and our offense is nowhere near where it was at the beginning of last year, and that is a good thing.

Zero surprise. At this point, they don't need to as long as none of the other Big Sky schools do it. Unless one of the Dakota schools starts drifting out of their traditional recruiting grounds moreso than normal, then they are going against PAC12 and MWC teams they weren't going to beat in recruiting anyway. Much different scenario than UND was in.

Who did you contact? I've never had an issue when e-mailing or calling Mike or Val to get something taken care of. Guessing they will both be at the Champions Club tent tomorrow as well.

I think the news has been out there a while, though I admit this is the first I've seen it in print. Also probably a fair assumption that despite what most of us think (myself included), a couple of video boards isn't exactly "breaking" type news.
-
Correct. I believe the current ribbon boards are coming down in conjunction with two video boards going up.
-
I heard this a while back but it was confirmed in Faison's interview in Bison Illustrated, the BESC will be getting video boards next year.
-
Don't know but Tom Miller indicated he doesn't think he back to 100% after his ACL injury last year.

He was already doing that exact same thing before the season started. Informed a large group of boosters that the game wasn't going to be the cupcake that was being assumed. Thought the NDSU booster that was telling me about it was joking but they were adamant that Klieman was very clear about it.

A week later and it still stings I guess.

Just a ridiculous talent. What might have been.

Forecast is looking excellent. Hope the students are out in full force and the Alerus is rocking. Take care of business at the Potato Bowl and then worry about the next game.

Hope the voters don't confuse the 1-0 North Dakota team with the 0-1 team from North Dakota....

Interesting article from ESPN a few days ago. Surveys sent to 351 D-1 college basketball coaches in August about COA and potential impact. 136 responded. Those that responded included whether their school would be participating, though it wasn't clear if it was for the upcoming year only or the school's current stance on it. Below is a list of Big Sky/Summit/MVFC of interest that responded and their answers: Cal Poly - Undecided Denver - Yes, amount unknown Idaho State - No Illinois State - Yes, $3,010 IUPUI - No Indiana State - Yes, $3,846.15 IPFW - Yes, amount unknown North Dakota State - No Northern Arizona - No Sacramento St - No South Dakota St - No Southern Illinois - Yes, amount unknown Southern Utah - Undecided Youngstown State - Yes, amount unknown

And they put the plan together in 2 days!!

With the exception of any games on Root I believe.

Roger Goodell continues to look like a complete joke and Tom Brady's suspension is overturned. No surprise considering a multi-million dollar report came up with nothing other than bad science and the NFL continues trying to play by its own rules that it makes up as it goes along.
-
To top it off, NDSU also announced they will be fully funding baseball, men's golf and men's track, which they had not been previously doing. The gap between those two numbers is only going to increase.

And that 50% is only for the first three years...
