The first one. The second one is busy selling rivalry shirts for a rivalry that I'm told doesn't exist anymore. Actually happened to see a Fargo U fan in Fargo wearing one (rivalry shirt) a few weeks ago in Fargo and chuckled to myself.

Maybe but he's coming off a major injury and no clue if he's even back to 100% yet.
-
Surprised not to see DaQuan Baker not on the 2-deep.
-
Even though it might not seem like it all the time, Rugby plays 11 man football at the A level, though not sure when the moved down from the AA level.
-
Truth is, if Mollberg (and Bartels) wouldn't have been hurt, Studsrud would be a RFr instead of a Sophomore and have no game experience. If that was the situation, I don't think he's in the conversation for starting this year.

NCAA To Sanction UND if School Does Not Adopt New Nickname
jdub27 replied to Benny Baker's topic in UND Nickname
You sound like the people who said the NCCA would never be able to force coerce UND to retire the Fighting Sioux nickname. How'd that turn out? They have already stated that it very well could end with UND facing sanctions and yet you're still going to go with it will never happen? Something about "Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it" or something like that...? -
I think you are going to be pretty close, pretty much exactly what I was thinking. I really have no guesses on KR/PR, just don't want to see Reyes on there.

Jim can change your username for you at your request

Didn't mean it as a criticism, I know those guys would be out there if they could.
-
A)Huh? What would be the point of that? B)Anyone can start one, but if past efforts are any indication, not sure why they would.
-
Great choices and not much surprise in the group.
-
I agree, was surprised it wasn't the first one done. But since it wasn't, had to add it.

Dickey's and Sweeto Burrito were both in buildings that have historically struggled because of location and access. Quiznos is on a closing spree across the nation and was surpassed by pretty much every sandwich shop in town. Unfortunate, but I wouldn't put too much stock into any of those.
-
Ironic because that is also roughly the multiple the actual attendance would have needed to reach thousands...
-
I'd rather see them getting reps. Was hoping a few of the guys would be back by now but makes sense to be cautious so they can be ready when the season starts. Seems UND has had bad luck with injuries lately, just glad that most of them seem to be minor. Just unfortunate they seem to be at positions where new faces could use some work.
-
Those are the two positions that I usually keep my eye on the most but no one really stood out, good or bad. I would assume Seibel has one spot locked down at WR and probably Cerriteno at the other spot with Georges/Bridges/Reed working the slot. Stanley definitely has size to him. Walker fits in there somewhere but not sure where at this point, probably backing up the first two. Could be completely wrong though there was lots of rotation.
-
Glad you cleared that up for everyone. Shame on people for looking out for the University instead of a logo and nickname. But at least you recognize that they want what's best for UND and that is moving on. I'm sure the University of North Dakota will be fine. It has survived multiple nickname and logo changes over the past 130+ years.

Managed to catch a little bit of the early practice yesterday. Was still a quite a few guys in shorts which is disappointing. The only one that I saw that looked to be longer term was Coyne (looked like he had a set of crutches). Bartels seemed to struggle the most in QB drills, neither Studsrud or Mollberg stood out from each other. Nick Schmitz was getting quite a few reps at NG and was looking pretty good. Still think there will be a lot of rotation at that spot and they will count on energy/effort over talent, at least right away. Tank Harris was one of the guys in shorts but was participating in position group drills, was hoping to see how he looked there. Ratelle made a few nice plays, the linebacking corps with him leading this year is going to be fun to watch.

Yesterday's rally was announced a month ago, on July 22, and was to be held rain or shine. That is far from short notice. How many people would have been there if they had not paid/bussed people in?
-
Between two rallies, there has been a combined attendance of 50-75 including people bussed in. The fundraising effort to pay to bus those people in had 18 donors. If the "no nickname" crowd is the majority the say they are, they sure don't care enough to put their time or money where their mouth is.

Is it correct that the new chancellor is the one who selected the committee? Also very light on local business people.

NCAA To Sanction UND if School Does Not Adopt New Nickname
jdub27 replied to Benny Baker's topic in UND Nickname
Continuing to refer to North Dakota as a nickname doesn't help your case. It is the name of the University (and state which the University is named after). But being in favor of "no nickname" doesn't quite sound as good so I get why people continue to avoid using it. Again, someone with ties to the athletic department using concrete, personal examples of why it is time to move on. Not sure I've seen a single student-athlete that wasn't a hockey player in support of having no nickname. -
Ryan Holmgren@ryanholmgren 56m56 minutes ago Craig Bohl said Nico Evans will be suspended two games and Adam Pilapil one game for violations of team rules. Brad E. Schlossman@SchlossmanGF 31m31 minutes ago Also says Oscar Nevermann will be suspended for entire season due to team's fear of losing to an FCS squad.

Pretty bold accusation. Having talked to some of them I also think its blatantly false. You citing something where people were able to (and very obviously did) submit things as many times as they could click a button. It carries zero weight. Yes, the nickname committee had an agenda: to pick a new nickname. You are correct, it was voted 7-4 to remove "no nickname" but it was the lowest remaining score among those left under consideration twice and somehow survived the first time.
