Great to hear, especially from a player that's not only on the team but that has played under both coaches and bought in under the current regime. I'm in the 6-5 camp, though, but thinking we could achieve 7-4 with some luck on the injury side and improved offensive play.

How do we know that they're not already doing this?

Totally agree with the QB comments. Good grief, Studsrud threw for 413 yds. and 3 TD's with no interceptions through our first two games and did about everything anybody had hoped, not to mention rushing for 59 yds. and a TD vs. Wyoming. I don't think it's right to put an undue amount of the blame on him for the SU game. Sure, he shares some of it, but there's plenty to go around. Need to realize, too, that we were playing the 4-time defending national champs, on there home field yet. But, instead of looking for people to blame, let's realize that we've got a really young team and that they're going to learn from the SU game and improve going forward. With a young team, it's going to be three steps forward and two back for a while. I think Bubba and Co. are going to keep this thing going in the right direction.

Speaking of O-line play, one of the posters referred to A. J. Stockwell as A. J. Blockwell based on his play in the Wyo. game. That was good for a chuckle; I hope his play causes that moniker to stick.

Encouraging report, Csonked. Good to hear that character is not just being talked about but is actually being practiced and taught. That is the intangible that may win us an extra game or two this season.

Wonder what happened to the daily reports from the UND PR dept.

This is a small thing and maybe it's already been addressed, but on the Message Board under each thread topic in small print it would say, for example, "Last post 10 minutes ago under Football by UND Fan." Now the category of the thread, in this case "Football", doesn't show. Thanks for the great website.

I'm thinking this one will be closer than most people think: 24-17 Wyoming. I don't see our D giving up more than 24, but we shall see.

Uncanny that we have so many players, and many of them key players, on the DL this early. Fortunately, it sounds like most of them will be fairly short-term. Thanks for taking the time to give us a report, MadScout. Would like to see the SID staff be consistent in putting out daily reports.
