I got a big kick out of the fact that, according to the announcers, they closed the concession stand behind the left field bleachers and concourse for safety reasons because Campbell's 450 ft.+ blasts were too close for comfort.

Guys like Gaarder and Pattyn are gold and are a great mix with the top end talent. And in the case of those two, they were the heart and soul of our squad. Wish they both had a year left. BTW, did either of them get scholarship money their last year or two?

Anyone know how the competition between Meindel and Bolduc went during spring practice for the punting job? Did either emerge as the frontrunner?

Will he be eligible this year or does he have to wait a year?

With our youth, I see us being middle of the pack during the season, with a chance to make a run in the conf. tournament. The reason I think that we could make a run in the tournament is because we've got an excellent point guard, the 5 position could potentially be very strong by then, and our high-potential freshmen/RS freshman will hopefully no longer be playing like freshmen by tourney time. I would expect us to be in the top tier of the conference the next 2-3 seasons after that.

Thank you, seniors, for staying for 4 years and for the legacy and example that you've set for the underclassmen and new recruits. You played your entire careers with heart, character, and class, which is what Sioux hockey is all about, and, in the process, you've left us, and, I'm sure, yourselves, with a lot of super memories. May God bless you in all of your future endeavours.

From what we're hearing so far, it sounds like Arrington may be a comparably great "get" for Bubba's squad.
