Not sure what Pinto has played as this year, but I’ve seen him listed as a Center on the draft rankings. I know Blaisdell has played both this season.

Had the same thoughts only wasn’t sure which of Pinto or Blaisdell would be the center.

I’ve thought about this too. I do not think it will be a senior either.

This particular discussion is about next season though.

I’d rather see Keane in the lineup over Bowen and Yon. Those two will be seniors next year and have shown little to no improvement since they were freshmen. They’ll be gone in a year, so I’d rather think what will be more beneficial long term. I don’t think Bowen is an awful penalty killer, actually think he’s pretty decent, but if he’s always in the box it doesn’t do us any good. Would like to see the penalties decrease, (and not just for him, seems like it’s always the same guys taking the dump penalty) goes without saying...

Yup, he could have cut scholarship dollars to those unproductive players (we know who they are), to bring in an extra forward. It’s not like we’ve had injury issues at forward recently or anything. That said, most of this rosters dead weight will be seniors next year, and hopefully most are riding pine.

It was in the commitment article from his junior team. He’s a late 1999, turned 19 in October. Obviously he could come in with any unexpected departures but the plan is 2020-21 season.

Gaber is a 2020-21 recruit, so he won’t be here in the fall.

Yeah, that moved us off the bubble and into a 3rd seed. Had we not won that game it would’ve been a lot of scoreboard watching. Of the years of the NCHC, we were only comfortably in the tournament twice at the started of the Frozen Faceoff. The other 3 years were more stressful.

I think it’s bad in all sports. Surgery, long recovery period. (My cousin is an orthopedic surgeon so she does these surgeries a lot)

I saw today he posted a series recap blog on his station’s website that he rewatched the clip and was wrong on the Wolff hit and the correct call was made by the officials... Pretty sure he also lurks here. Know their TV guy does... super professional...

A guy on Twitter said the game was only competitive because of the power plays we got. That we didn’t score on. And that showed how superior UMD is. I am confused.

It was Jones. I specifically remember how angry I was. UMD fans can be mad about the refs all they want but they need to get it through their thick skulls that when you have a player that has a reputation for these kind of things, you’re not going to get the benefit of the doubt from officials when they have the discretion on the severity of the penalty.

Their fans thought Bowen was out because he was scared of Wolff. Wolff has been ejected in each of the last three games against us.

That writer is trash. His preview article was trash too. Could he at least try to be objective? The comments on Rieger (“actually a defenseman playing first game of the season at forward”), Bowen (“4th liner who was scratched for Saturday’s game”) and Weatherby (“1 goal, 1 assist”) were not at all necessary and there to display our “inferiority” to the Bulldogs.

Yes, Scheel started all 5 games of the win streak, but then he started when we lost to Miami and then rotation started again. Which, for the record, I was not a fan of. Should’ve never gone back to a rotation.
