I’m okay with slow sales. I don’t have excess funds at the moment to make a purchase so I’m hoping some tickets will still be available when I do. I live a mile from the arena and have been trying and failing to get tickets the previous 2 Fargo regionals. It’s pathetic. I’m hoping third time’s the charm!

They need to figure out a better way to compensate for his loss because it does not sound like he’ll be back next week.

I think Tomek was brought in too early (wasn’t ready), but they kind of had to when Zane left early and Cam Johnson was kind of a disaster in his only start as a freshman. Eidsness I thought was decent freshman and sophomore year, but hit a wall as a junior and lost the starting job to Dell. Zane didn’t get the shut outs, but he was still very good. The teams he played on weren’t high scoring and he nearly single handedly got us to the 2014 Frozen Four. (Wow I’m sure no one needed my not-so-expert goaltending analysis )

Kind of agree. I think Berry was waiting for someone to take the reigns, and then ride the hot hand. Scheel has one 3 in a row, so let’s see how far he can take us. I do think we’ll see Thome again at some point.

Not sure about message board but they have some bloggers I would call moderately clueless... but I do remember when this rumored game started to pick up steam, I think they were excited to play traditional power as opposed to their normal non conference schedule of Atlantic Hockey opponents. I googled Roar Zone - that’s the name of their student section, and some things come up.

Also I will add player experience. When these players graduate, looking back, these are going to be games they’ll remember.

We did have the Hall of Fame game vs RPI at REA that year though. So we got an extra game that year anyway.

The Vegas game was in the works before the NYC game. They knew after that game at MSG that they should have gotten the NHL rink in Vegas, which is why the Nashville game, which has been in the works for a while, will be at Bridgestone.

I was considering going to Nashville this last summer for vacation and I found flights out of Minneapolis were around $230, 2 months in advance was when I looked. I ended up going to Boston instead though ($105 round trip - hard to beat! )

Nashville is ONLY () a 15 hour drive from Fargo, so people could always drive also if they don’t want to fly it, so that could make a difference. Flights were sky high to Vegas and a lot of people flew out of airports not normally in the conversation. Nashville could just be easier to get to for many in the Midwest.

Coming on a message board full of some of the more diehard members of our fanbase to tell us some fans are jerks like we are not already aware is kind of extra...

I could write a novel on my experiences with Minnesota fans at both Mariucci and neutral sites (also with their keyboard warriors online) but they didn’t ask me so... There are bad fans everywhere. Minnesota fans should get out more.

I think it is hard to judge when they haven’t played a non-exhibition game in 3 weeks... Guess time will tell. funny enough their next opponents are Mankato and Wisconsin, so looks like their opening schedule is similar to ours.

To clarify my statement, there are 3 threads on Vegas with pretty much no discussion on the game until Sodbuster brought it up. Now I’m not going to Vegas so discussion on travel plans bores me to death.

Nobody has talked about pretty much anything but Vegas here for 2 weeks.

I think Button only ranked players he’s seen play this season. (He’s said that in past years with his list) With Rizzo being injured that could be part of it.

That is definitely interesting. Who knows what the actual situation, it’s probably none of our business but we are a curious bunch here.
