  1. The question is how many of the forwards you listed are actually going to play all that much next year though? Unless Berry is an idiot, I created a fake line chart, and only one of the forwards you listed would be on my “everyone is healthy” line chart. I’d say most of the forwards you listed will bounce in and out of the lineup on the 4th line.
  2. You included Peski, a defenseman in this post. A defenseman who is not an offensive defenseman. I will laugh hysterically if he can’t outscore Peski next year.
  3. His name is Ryder and he’s dead to me.
  4. Funny enough, I’ve been using this jokingly all season. “Who can we call up from our minor league affiliate?”
  5. Yeah I did not expect him to be benched, no matter how deserved it would have been.
  6. To me, not benching Gardner for his continued on ice idiocy shows what little faith Berry has in his other centers. I realize we’re thin at center but still. At some point there should have been some accountability.
  7. I want to know what 7 and 9 did to get top line time. Also, 2 d-men on the 4th line. Gross.
  8. Well, I’m excited. Not based on draft status, but because I’ve seen them play and believe they will help. I get the hesitation to be optimistic for others, but just because some forwards has underperformed doesn’t mean every forward is going to from here on out. So I will maintain my optimism.
  9. Trust me I get it. But some seem to be obsessed with high draft picks (not me)
  10. Late round draft picks are not polished players. They generally have blatant weaknesses, it’s up to the player to develop and address weaknesses. Where a player is drafted is often based on perceived potential at the next level. Several late round picks have been good college players.
  11. He definitely cooled off, but still never went more than 2 games all season without a point.
  12. Just a difference in perception. I guess I would perceive talking about “former recruits” that got away as complaining, based on some of the context. I can understand why not everyone has the same perception as I do though.
  13. If you’re bored of discussion on how UND sucks at recruiting, here are a couple recent articles on Harrison Blaisdell. https://www.eprinkside.com/2019/03/01/all-he-does-is-win-blaisdell-keeps-adding-to-impressive-trophy-case https://www.draftgeek.ca/2019/02/26/prospect-profile-harrison-blaisdell/ ...if not, carry on...
  14. Also, found it interesting that Mismash was the top forward in shot attempts when he hasn’t played in a while...
  15. Jack isn’t going to BU.
  16. The only real consistency issue I see is the inconsistent offensive production. We just never know when it’s coming...
  17. Not to my knowledge. He initially was just filling in as a practice goalie while Tomek was injured and when Tomek returned, let him stay on the team. I don’t even remember the last third goalie we have had that was on scholarship.
  18. Why is Bob Anderson part of this discussion? Bob is a walk on. He tried out for his spot. If the coaching staff wanted to bring in a scholarship goalie for our third goalie, Bob isn’t going to prevent that. He’d become our 4th goalie. We haven’t had a third goalie on scholarship for a long time.
  19. Hoff is my biggest disappointment of the class, strictly from an expectations standpoint. (I think he was an all-USHL pick?) I expected a little more than we’ve gotten out of the others, but can’t say I expected any of the others to be at the top of the stat sheet.
  20. Yeah, I took a look at the draft rankings a few days ago and could see BU and Minnesota and maybe BC top 3 since they have the most ranked players, but after that I kind of felt it depends on if you are looking at quality or quantity, immediate impact, or more long term impact. Like, UND has 7 total rated, while Michigan had just 4, but I believe 2 of them are rated in the first round area, and the other 2 are late round projections. Either way, we’ll know who brought in the good classes by Christmas next year. But it’s a good discussion topic for the offseason (or end of season if you’re us)
  21. Yes, generally, I personally prefer to form my own opinion rather than rely on someone else’s. But it’s a good starting point for sure. Especially considering all the mixed reports you can hear on players.
  22. Rankings are subjective. Not everyone has the same opinion. I focus less on other teams. More on my team’s. There’s so many factors to building a team. I can only comment on what I see with my own eyes, not who is ranked where on a draft ranking, or what is on their stat sheet.
  23. Yeah I haven’t thought Gardner was the right center for him all season. He’d be better with more of a playmaker for center.
  24. Finally got to see Shane Pinto play this weekend. He was last of the incoming forwards I needed to see. He definitely has some tools that can help us. Blaisdell is still probably my favorite of the bunch. I don’t know their faceoff percentages (lol) but I feel confident 3 of the 4 will bolster the skill in our top 6 (unless Berry decides they are third liners ). Specifically at the center position, and I think getting some more skill at center will help returning players. (Ex: Adams.)
  25. I agree with you, but what center on the current roster from this last weekend would you have put them with?
