  1. If it makes you feel better all of our draft eligible forward recruits are ranked higher than any other incoming forward in the NCHC not named Bobby Brink in the final Central Scouting rankings.
  2. Just to clarify, I wasn’t referring to the Braden Costello’s of the world. I was referring to those with what I see as solid production that’s been deemed not good enough around here. I prefer the eye test to a stat sheet, but to each their own.
  3. I get it, but Id argue there’s more than just people here talking about our pipeline, so there’s something to it. Not many of us have seen what the recruits have so a lot of it is just repeating what’s been said already. I opt not to share too much of what I’ve seen out of recruits I’ve seen because of the stat sheet obsession.
  4. Rizzo has been overhyped by this fanbase for 3 years, everyone just needs to relax with him. Talk about unfair expectations he couldn’t possibly match if he came in the fall. He will be a fantastic college player but he’s not a finished product. He’s still only 17.
  5. He’s ranked 84th by Central scouting. That’s mid-to-late after factoring in Euros. I’d say he goes in the 4th or 5th.
  6. Only if they find a goalie.
  7. The trophy exists.
  8. Yeah don’t see SCSU in top 3, maybe not even top 5 with their losses. We’ll see how they adjust to their losses. Western lost both their starting and backup goalies. And aside from that, I am not drinking their koolaid. They never do anything of note even when they’re supposed to be good. I got UND ahead of both.
  9. I wouldn’t say he had a bad year, just below expectations. Injuries not helping. My interpretation of this situation is that it’s expected he immediately fit into a top 6 role when he arrives and maybe the coaching staff feels he’ll be better equipped to do that with another year of juniors. JMO.
  10. Signing the NLI has nothing to do with arrival. You’re eligible to sign it your senior year of high school. Many have signed it and not arrived the following year.
  11. Went back to rewatch some older games from the past season to refresh my memory on what kind of player he is and he is exactly what this team needs.
  12. To be honest, I’d rather stick pins in my eyes than see that prick Mannino behind the bench.
  13. Stratton, to my knowledge, will be here but sitting out the year to serve his WHL penalty. I haven’t yet heard that this has changed. Carson Albrecht is the other forward that will be here. The others I do not believe will be here without someone else departing.
  14. It’s not even lateral. It’d be a demotion. Herter is the Associate Head Coach at UMD.
  15. Might need to since it’d be a job demotion since he’s an Associate Head Coach at UMD.
  16. He’s been higher than Rizzo all year. But they are completely different players.
  17. Yes, he’ll be here. He hasn’t signed his NLI so coaches can’t comment on him yet.
  18. Schuldt was a senior.
  19. Bummer...
  20. It seems to me the NCAA opted overwhelmingly for newer venues (Buffalo, Detroit, Pittsburgh) for the Frozen Four sites the last round instead of destination cities. Hopefully when the next round of host cities are announced we’ll have more of a mix, preferably with them not all in the Eastern time zone.
  21. I realize you weren’t asking me, but I’ve seen him play 10 playoff games. He’s an intriguing player. His on ice vision is insane.
  22. I am curious if they would flip Michaud and Pinto so there’s not 2 freshmen on the same line to start the season.
  23. Well the incoming class has at least one player who fits that description.
  24. The leading scorer on Wenatchee had 51 points so the coach clearly overestimated the offensive capabilities of his team. Also, to be fair, Stratton had 62 points if we are including playoffs, since he was very good during their playoff run. The stats above aren’t factoring those in for the BCHL.
  25. Buccigross has essentially already predicted a UMass win. Read it in an article this morning.
