So UND got the most first place ballots but Denver had significantly more total points. I would guess Denver got mostly first and second place votes while UND was probably anywhere from first to fifth. Looks like Miami got all last place votes.

This season could be over in a hurry. Looking at their schedule it is not too difficult to see a 1-4 start. If that happens then it’s fire sale time, tank the season, start a real rebuild and hopefully draft a top end long term QB. While you’re at it build a physical offensive line that can actually get a push when you need to convert 3rd or 4th and one. Most likely scenario is they’ll win a game you don’t expect and hang around for a possible playoff berth with no realistic chance of doing any damage if they make the playoffs. End up with a first round pick just low enough that you can’t find a franchise QB. Rinse and repeat for the next decade plus.

St. Thomas is probably a better financial fit in the long term. I would be more than OK with adding Mankato if they would kick out St. Cloud. Not a fan of the schools admin and their hostile attitude to the Fighting Sioux nickname.

Not sure I understand how you’re counting population here. You’ve got Chicago at 2.6m and Minneapolis/St. Paul at 4m. It looks like you are using the metro area for Minneapolis/St. Paul but just the city of Chicago? If you use the Chicago metro area it is near 10m.

Same here. Not sure if the problem is lack of speed or poor passing skills. Maybe a bit of both. Even a fast team will not look fast if the passing is not sharp.

I agree that they can’t win with Mannion as the QB. Fortunately he isn’t on the team, the backup is Nick Mullins. He’s not the long term answer but I do believe he is better than Mannion.

I don’t think the Wild liked the start time either, played like it was past their bedtime.

The Wild are toast, don’t see much chance for them to win the series. Not a fan of Dean Evason, I think he made a major blunder by switching goalies for game 2. I don’t care what they did in the regular season rotating goalies, when your goalie plays as well as Gustavsson did in game 1 there is no way in hell you change goalies for game 2. Just a really, really stupid move.

Hope Toews plays at least one more season. Sign with Washington and reunite with Oshie would be fun to see.

No thanks, not a big fan of the Summit brand. I get why they might do it but I’d prefer to keep the NCHC.

Don’t feel bad at all for the goofs but I do feel a bit bad for Motzko. I think he is a good coach and a good guy.
