Overtime win shows up as a win on your record which is meaningless. Pairwise is the only thing that really matters (unless your record is under .500). For Pairwise it is 2/3 win 1/3 loss. Too many unforced errors tonight, seems like we panic with the puck too often.

Tommy can look good to great against average to poor defenses. The problem I see is when we face a real good defense. The two yard bubble screens just don’t work the same and he can’t seem to be able to throw downfield with any consistency. The good defenses know it and can tighten the box even more which makes the offense struggle to run the ball. Too many times we make a two yard throw and expect the player to pickup the five or six yards on third down.

Totally dominated two of the best FCS teams the last two weeks…what? wait a minute…never mind.

Start throwing deep balls

In the grand scheme does this game really matter? There is no way this team is going to make any kind of playoff run with this defensive play.

Good start to the game. If Murray State plays defense like this the whole game we should put up 40+ points.

No reason for the defense to worry about throws beyond 5 yards or so. Got to be able to throw downfield more consistently, if Tommy can’t do it then get someone in there that can.

When ISU had the ball and called timeout there was 34 seconds on the clock. There was then a long incompletion and the clock showed 20 seconds. In reviewing the play the clock start around six seconds before the snap. Not sure what the hell happened.

Watching on ESPN+. God awful times two so far.

If I didn’t know anything about these teams and you told me one of them was 0-7 I’m pretty sure I would think that team was wearing the black jerseys.

Last possession we had 1st and goal from the 8. We then run for 5 on first down setting up 2nd and goal from the three. We then decide to overthink everything and try passing. Why not just commit that we are going to run three straight if needed. Quit making everything so complicated.

Hockey is so much more enjoyable when the refs ignore obvious flagrant penalties on a scoring chance in favor of keeping things “even”. Horsecrap officials.

I wouldn’t be too sure about anything. 6-5 is a definite possibility.

A depressing Bubba weekend so far

Did they realize they had a game scheduled today? Looks like they spent too much time celebrating last weeks win and didn’t prepare for this game at all. Just embarrassing to watch.
