In all likelihood we need to score a minimum of 28 in the second half (most likely more) to win this game. I’m hard pressed to see how this happens unless UNI commits a number of turnovers. We’ll need to get points from the defense to have a chance.

This is why it’s hard to get a lot of fans excited about UND football. Finally got over the hump last weekend and had a statement win. You want the fan base to stay excited and the selection committee to give you the respect? Then go out and win this weekend. A loss greatly diminishes the significance of last weeks win. Instead we are one the verge of a blowout loss. It’s not over yet but we look lost.

To be fair they are playing in ideal conditions to kick a field goal.

Fumble changed everything about the feel of this game.

I know it’s very early but this game stunk. We looked slow and unable to pass the puck and move our feet. Embarrassing. I don’t think there was even one difficult save that Close had to make. Need to win tomorrow so we’re not digging ourselves a hole. Failure to make the NC$$ tourney this year should mark the end of the Brad Berry era. Tomorrow should tell us quite a bit about this team.

Trying to give away the game by being stupid/undisciplined.

While this is the first loss of the season to an FCS team and to one of the best teams in the division it is hard to be optimistic about the rest of the season. This wasn’t just a loss but a complete beat down. Hard to realistically judge where this team is, we should get a better idea in a few weeks. My guess right now is 6-5 give or take a game (7-4,5-6). Hard to get excited.

Their running backs consistently get 5 or 6 yards before anyone even touches them. Getting bullied at the line of scrimmage.

Does Schuster still have a Covid year to use? If so, it should be a hard no. Thanks for your time here but it’s time to move on.

We’re are still paying for the fact that the administration was slow moving to FCS. Gave NDSU and SDSU a jump on recruiting and we still haven’t recovered.

Why in the hell is Schuster still playing? Makes absolutely no sense on a number of levels.

Not sure that’s the problem. Think it’s more of a size and talent issue. I was expecting them to make this a better game.

Any reason whatsoever to keep Bubba after this season? He’s in his 10th year and I think we’ve seen what he can do, basically a .500 coach. If he were to coach another 10 years I don’t think we would see anything different. If you want to see UND football be successful and actually compete for championships why would you keep the the status quo?
