That’s OK, he picked against us in 2016. If they played a best of seven series I think UND would be a strong favorite to win it all. Single game elimination I still would favor them over any team but the odds of winning four straight is not real high. Even if you had an 80% chance of winning every game you play that only gives you a 40% chance of winning four straight.

There is absolutely no way you can accurately determine from this view if the play was offside or not. They should have stuck with the call on the ice. This is the only view of the play that I have ever seen. If there is another view that shows conclusively that the play was offsides I would like to see it...pretty sure it doesn’t exist. Was it offsides ? I have no idea. It might have been. But maybe, could have, possibly doesn’t rise to the level of convincing evidence. Therefore they should have stayed with the call on the ice. The linesman that overruled the call should never be allowed to work another playoff game (assuming the call was made based on this end zone view 150 feet away from the play). I don’t remember any media member ever getting any information or statement from the officials as to how this was conclusively determined to be offsides.

It’s just one game. As much as it sucks they need to learn from this and get better from it. Win the final three games and they should be in good position for home games in the playoffs and another shot at them.

No, but I think it will be helpful for the NC$$ tourney if we can play someone other than Omaha, Denver, or CC. They haven’t played anyone but those three since the pod...that will be three months since the pod when the tourney starts.

If Denver beats UND tonight I think they make the NC$$ tourney over UNO. A UND win and UNO makes it. I just wish there was a way to leave both teams out.

Why did the Denver UNO overtime start with 4 on 4 ? Both teams had one player in the penalty box. Seems odd that they didn’t start out 3 on 3.

Please tell the players that the COVID rules of maintaining six foot distance do not apply during the game. Also let them know that it’s ok to play with some passion and intensity.

After watching Pinto tonight I wonder if he is 100% or did he just have a bad game ?

Frightfully bad game. Passing was brutal. Not sure on the state of the ice but they need to be a lot better in that area. Missed a simply pass in the last 30 seconds for what would have been an empty netter, instead they ice it. Mismatch taking a stupid penalty behind the offensive goal line late in a one goal game can’t happen. Play that way against a good team and you lose by multiple goals. We’re at the halfway point of the regular season. Tons of room for improvement. Hope to see a large jump up in play next weekend against Denver. Now is the time to start building for the playoffs.

I wish the announcer would stop giving football score updates. Anyone can find the score in two seconds if they want to. Some may not want to hear the score cause they want to watch it later.

I believe both Sanderson and Kleven are eligible for the world juniors next year.

Today’s games

Going to be difficult but 26 of the 41 goals came in two games. They’re averaging 3.75 goals/game in the other four. The US has 34 goals, 18 of those in two games, averaging 4.0 goals/game in the other four. The key to me is winning the special teams battle. If they lose that they lose the game. Definitely the underdog, they will need to play with the lead and not chase the game. Canada hasn’t been really tested yet late in a game. Looking forward to watching this one.

They’ll need to play better and smarter tomorrow to beat Canada. At least they made it to the gold medal game and they have a chance.

Shots now 19-1 Canada. Score is 1-0. It always makes me nervous when my team is dominating but can’t pull away on the scoreboard. That shot discrepancy is not likely to continue and I would expect Finland to make a push at some point.
