too much inconsistency to see anything more than a split. I said it earlier this reminds me a lot of the 2007-2008 squad that had a lot of returning players that spilt every series up until middle of january. I can see us splitting until sometime in january.

that means nothing. if you remeber a couple of years ago we hadn't swept the gophers at the john in 27 years and proceeded to do so. past history doesn't mean squat. some of those duluth teams in the past ten years have been awful as well. I look for two dogfights this weekend and really won't be surprised if anything happens as duluth is a very,very good team despite what others on this board think.

A lot of people on here have been saying split, not get swept. I don't think predicting a split this weekend is being negative, but more realistic as to what might happen(especially with injuries,sickness and suspension). I think it is safe to say we all hope for a Sioux sweep.

Being physical is what makes Malone the player he is, hopefully he doesn't lose any of that as a result of this.

IF Malone were to be suspended for his hit on Martin, this would be the third straight meeting between these two teams in which a Sioux player couldn't play due to suspension-last Feb Mario was suspended for a game because he wanted to fight Marvin, then in the WCHA playoffs Frattin was suspended for a game for his hit on Wehrs of the Gophers.

I'm not trying to be negative, but for the past 6 years I have seen the same thing every fall from his squads and this looks to be no different.

yeah but you are forgetting this is a hakstol team and it is prior to january so therefor no more than a split against a good team in novemebr.

I'll disagree with this to a point in that Eddie wasn't that stellar, his stats weren't mind boggling by any sort of the imagination and it doesn't hurt when you have a team that averages 5 goals a night either playing in front of you. now what he did in the NHL, that is another story.

it is a bit of a shame that this series isn't later in the year. I don't sense as much hype for it. most fans spent two days complaining about last weekend instead of maybe turning their attention to DU(myself included). this reminds me of last year and our first series with the gophers in october-too early to get all hyped up possibly?

I think Hak is sending BE a message-he is fed up with his permoance right now. that is the feeling I got last night after the game, when hennessey asked who would start in goal hak said he pretty well knew but wanted to sleep on it just not to make a decision based off of emotion. that gave me the impression he was po'd at BE and rightfulyl so. he hasn't had a strong game yet this season.

pulling for a sweep but I see it the other way-come out strong fri and win then run out of gas on sat.

also channel 27(23 last year) is no longer just dedicated to UND and FSSN it is the the new midco regional sports channel. they will broadcast games from nd,sd and minn region in additon to sioux games on fssn.

according to my program guide from midco it doesn't say anything about college hockey at 7:30.

I think a big factor that could come into play for fridays game is the carryover effect of coming off a trip to alaska and having to go back on the road again 5 days later. I think at some point either this weekend or next we are going to come out flat for a game due to all the travel and it will cost us.

there is supposed to be TV, it is scheduled to be joined in progress following the football game on FSSN.

It is very tragic and I am sorry to say he past away this afternoon.

I can see the playoff field eventually being upped to 20 teams and in the "old" wcha that would exist und,du,cc,umd,scsu would be in the mix most every year for a ncaa playoff spot.

with the new 12 team wcha, our playing of minn and wisc was going to decrease anyways, so we still may continue to play them at least one series a year if not two some years. the thing with the gophs and badgers possibly moving to a new bthc is that there will be no "gimmee" conference games for them anymore, say like against tech or anchorage.
