Let"s hope we can change this stat this weekend, but the last time we swept CC up here was in Oct. 2001, the third week the Ralph was I open I think. Let's go boys I would love for things to work out and see them skate with the Cup on Sunday.
UND 28 37
Denver 28 37
UW 28 32
CC 28 31
UMD 28 31
UMN 28 31
SCSU 28 29
Mankato 28 24
AA 28 19
MTech 28 9
how they would break that 3-way tie for 4th is beyond me.
I don't think that matters as you can still be a TUC but just won't be able to make the tournament with a losing record. plus i don't think they'llbe one for long as BU should take care of them this weekend.
we did move up one spot, it wasn't that bad. as if you look over the course of the past few weeks UND hasn't gotten much help at all and we still have moved up. hey if msu wins on tues maybe we'll move up another spot or two.
absolutely, they were in about this same position last year and played well down the stretch. their schedule is very favorable to them:
tonight at cc
next week duluth at home
following week tech at home
they could go 3-2 or 4-1 get home ice and then anything can happen.
I think I put in one too many question marks, I didn't intend for the icon to be there. my point was that every season under hak we have finished one place higher than the previous year and according to the progression we would finish first this year as we finished second last year.
As much as it pains me to say I wouldn't mind seeing cc lose tonight as we play them next week. I don't want them coming in with a load of momentum(5 game unbeaten streak) as we will be coming back from anchorage and the track record of teams coming back from anchorage is not good especially the first game back.
I'm getting ahead of myself but under Hak there has been progress in the WCHA:
2005-5th place
2006-4th place
2007-3rd place
2008-2nd place
2009-? fill it in guys
maybe if we go all out and get a few things done this and next weekend maybe we'll have all the marbels in hand and that series will lose some luster that being said we need two wins this weekend.
