anyone know if there is a chance this weekends games in anchorage will be televised like they have been the past few seasons?

they can blow a gasket all they want-score some goals and it won't come down to a call like that

I would too, but I can see us getting run out of our own building with them. it ain't gonna be pretty next weekend.

that team did not start out 3-6-1 either. they got off to a great start and never really had a down stretch the whole season.

go out and see if their are any scorers available he can bring in at x-mas because this squad falls short in that department.

I'm still trying to find that something in this team that tells me they are going to be a good team- our d and goaltending suck which is ironic because that was supposed to be the backbone of this team, our offense is one line(mainly one person) and we spend way too much time in the box which results in key pp goals for the other team. everyone keeps saying it-but the results aren't there. I keep hearing "we're young, we're young" well denver was young last year and didn't suck. I know it's only october but we may be on the verge of starting to dig ourselves a hole in which we may not be able to get out of this year.

I will and is it hak's fault the players on the ice at those moments had mental breakdowns? how about laying some of the responisibility of this loss on the players who decided to just stop moving their feet?

this notion of hak getting outcoached last night again because we lost again to BC is funny. 30 minutes into last nights game it was a 2-2 game and a very young sioux team held their own against BC-if not fot a few lapses during a key 4 minute stretch there might have been a different outcome.

It's been a while since we have had this many freshmen, I forgot how much energy they bring to the game(granted it is only the first game) but hopefully that is a sign of things to come.

It was interesting tonight in that two regina players who didn't suit up were sitting behind me and they just kept saying how good the sioux were and how they knew where they wanted to go and that regina wasn't playing that bad, und was just that good.

all this talk of ND having one of the largest fan bases is a little overrated as it doesn't really translate to hockey. I said this earlier in this thread the two frozen fours they have been a part in the last 4 fours they by far had the fewest fans of any team there, I didn't see them come to the ralph in droves last year either.

it was reported on espn this morning that notre dame still wants to remain independent in football if it can. if they deem they can't they would pursue the ACC before the Big 10.

at the NCHC press conference I recall better officiating being addressed, to me that means I'm pretty sure Papa Shep and a lot of the WCHA refs won't be considered.

I've heard on this site in numerous spots that the reason steve did not get any of those jobs is because UND has a requirement that all coaches must have a degree and he doesn't and that is a big reason as to why he never got one of those positions. if I am wrong someone can correct me.

I say let ND do whatever they want. they obviously think they are bigger than the sport. if they come to the NCHC great if not whoopdy do. and can somebody please tell me how a nice little 5 year stretch makes this program a traditional power? in non conference scheduling there would be 10 teams I would rather see before the irish. they don't even have that big a of a fan base. they had by far the fewest number of fans at this years frozen four and I think the same can be said for in 2008 as well.

is it just me or is it really weird to see DU and UND stading hand in hand in this whole process considering all that has happened with the two programs the past several years?

you may very well be right on this. however, how many times in the past have you seen it where a coach is being courted for another position, comes out and says it isn't true and then a few days later he takes the new gig.

the oilers organization has stated in the past how happy they are with how hak develops kids, so I would expect to see him here this fall and perhaps next year as well.

I agree with this 100%, a few years back UND had the Force of the North thing going on and if they did something like that you could go this direction very easily. but my preference is to have no nickname or logo other than ND.
