If Hextall does leave I think the major reason could be the injuries he has battled since he got here and figures it could be now or never to get a decent payday. that said I'm not sure I see him making it to the big club anytime soon. as much as I hate this time of the season and kids leaving early, you can't blame them. if someone came to me when I was 21 or 22 with a huge paycheck to come work for them and leave school a year or two early I would have jumped.

just no shows as tickets were still sold. no different then when they announce a croud of almost 12k at the ralph and there are about 2000 empty seats. tickets are still sold and money is made.

with what may happen this off season with graduation and potential early departures it really makes a person appreciate what happened this past season and what was accomplished despite coming up a little short at the Frozen Four. It really reminds me of what wisconsin and denver had happen to them last off season.

agree. however, should JG,Hextal, Blood and Kristo leave you will have no real proven scorers returning(knight is more of a set up man) and a bunch of grinders with an unproven freshman class. we would go from having four d coming back with 2 freshman on a regular basis to 3 vets and 3 freshman-ouch. geez, we go from a senior class where no one left to one that could postentially be just 2-eids and mario from a class of seven at the start.

speaking of kristo and this maybe is the wrong thread-but these rumors (and I have heard them) about him not attending class anymore if they are true, how can he be playing for the sioux down the stretch. don't you need to be attending class to be eligible? I heard the same rumors about David Toews last year and that is the reason he didn't see much PT down the stretch and is no longer with the program. I'm assuming the coach's get reports about how the team is doing in class and if someone isn't up to par they would step in or am I wrong or just naive to think this?

if this is what he'll do he is gone. the isles don't like players playing in college and Hak will tell him he is ready to go. I don'e care how heralded these freshmen are, next year will be some sort of a rebuilding year.

I would highly suggest going to the USCHO.com fan forum and go to the tickets and events topic area area, I got mine from there very easy and for face value.

how bad is this?. if you click onto the official ncaa ticket exchange link from uscho it will take you to a scalping site called prime sport or prime ticket I believe. now the ncaa says if you sell you ticket for higher than facve value and they catch you you will lose your priority number, but yet they promote this site.

I believe it is only espn3 and that is why und had to work so hard at getting tv coverage here. it also blows my mind that espn3 is offered and most people in this area really only care about 1 weekend a year and that weekend midco can't do a free trial of it or something. I remeber in 97 when the sioux made the frozen four gf didn't have espn2 and midco(or whatever it was called at that time) worked out an agreement to give residents of gf a free one or two day trial of it.
