I was under the assumption that if you were offering/selling tickets on USCO you weren't suppsoed to offer them above face value as you could lose your priority number if you did?

Hockeymom, Great advice I went on there and got mine and it went very smooth. arrived in the mail today.
-
one of them involves cc winning the final five, northeastern wins hockey east, cornell wins ecac and RIT wins atlantic hockey-in this scenario we also tie yale for the number one seed.
-
two things. first I see yale can lock up the #1 overall seed by LOSING this weekend and two I see that the women's committee really stuck it to the WCHA. it will be intersting to see if the same thing happens with the men's bracket.
-
I think we're pretty locked into the number 3 spot. however, I think the only way we would drop to four would be with some combination of us not making the final five and michigan winning the ccha tournament.
-
the only way bemidji becomes a TUC again is to beat uno and advance to the final five, msum needs to win one against denver to remain a TUC as well.
-
here's an interesting question. say we end up the season ranked 2 in the pairwise and the gophers or scsu sneek in as the 15th ranked team in the pairwise and there are 5 teams in the tournament from the wcha. would the committee make us play the wcha opponent in the first round as once their are five or more teams they don't have to avoid a first round match-up?
-
Is this true that they wanted that seed to avoid playing us? ifso bring them on and we can possibly end their season two years in a row. and if they are in our bracket that puts an end to all speculation about playing the friday night game or not.

and robert morris

I feel bad for bruneteau. he played a ton down the stretch last year and did fairly well and now he can't sniff the ice.
-
I didn't have a problem with moy's first bracket and 3 wcha teams in it-what I don't like is the prospect of having to face BU in the first round.
-
I think that should we get by tech whether minnesota plays a friday game against us or anyone else we will play that night regardless. the majority of tickets have already been sold and we have proven to be damn near as big a draw as minnesota at the final five.
-
if the top two teams get byes then there is a form of reseeding going on because if the brackets are preset and there is no flexibility then if tech were to beat us then they would get a bye into fridays games.
-
I do believe reseeding will occur after the first round and if I recall someone stated last year or the year before that the "minnesota rule" doesn't exist anymore and the highest remaining seed after the first round will play on friday night.

first this isn't the NFL where you start sitting players as NCAA positioning is still happening. second you can only bring three extra players one of which is your backup goalie. so with two extra players I don't think you'll see wholesale changes. that and we don't know the staus of rowney plus with kristo and chay being out we don't have a lot of reserves left to begin with. a loss will kill our rpi which in effect could keep us from being a number one seed down the road. that said I do expect to see Eids start on sat.
-
that was 2004.
-
not that it would happen but I'm thinking the thought was to present it to us when we have it all to ourselves without the possibility of sharing it with someone else. I have no problems with waiting another two weeks to get it all to ourselves and I'm guessing Hak and co were asked about this scenario heading into the weekend.

UNH has to stay in manchester as they are the host.
-
nor would it help if bemidji, uaa or robert morris fall out of TUC status which all three are right on the cusp right now. in which we are 8-0-1 against those four teams right now.
-
yale doesn't have enough games against TUC's left that they can lose. best we can hope for is us winning the final five and they lose in the ecac semi's against a TUC(they wouldn't face any before that) and then we would still fall about a half a percentage short of flipping that comparison. I really don't think if it comes down to that the committe would put us number one based on their past history. best we can hope for is the number two overall seed. unless jim can come up with other scenario. another possible scenario is there be a surprise champion in in say the ecac where a non tuc or dartmouth wins it. then we would avoid the likes of facing a bu or even maine in the first round.

Gregoire did leave about midway through the third and missed a couple of shifts and then came back. not long after gregoire left I saw poolman come up and mention something to hak. I also noticed that rowney was absent for about the last 5 minutes or so and wasn't there for the handshake.

just how bad is tech? if things go as normal this weekend, even if tech loses to us next weekend their RPI will go up. that my friends is bad.
-
I'd love for our first game to be a title rematch between the Sioux and BC and BC has to watch us raise #8-that would be one incredible evening.

my question is, due to family obligations(another child) I will probably be unable to renwew my tickets for next season-can I still get my seats for the Ice Breaker though?
