I think a big factor that could come into play for fridays game is the carryover effect of coming off a trip to alaska and having to go back on the road again 5 days later. I think at some point either this weekend or next we are going to come out flat for a game due to all the travel and it will cost us.

I can see the playoff field eventually being upped to 20 teams and in the "old" wcha that would exist und,du,cc,umd,scsu would be in the mix most every year for a ncaa playoff spot.

with the new 12 team wcha, our playing of minn and wisc was going to decrease anyways, so we still may continue to play them at least one series a year if not two some years. the thing with the gophs and badgers possibly moving to a new bthc is that there will be no "gimmee" conference games for them anymore, say like against tech or anchorage.

I realy don't see a huge realignment occuring if the bthc comes about. I can see UAH heading to the CCHA, UAF heading to the WCHA and Tech heading to CCHA. The same thing will happen here as in college football, everyone will think a huge realignment willtake place but in reality only a few moves will actually take place. I still see the X holding the WCHA tournament, but maybe on a rorating basis with omaha. I really do see some scheduling problems for the bthc because if the wcha and ccha stay at their current levels as far as number of teams that still leaves only 6-8 NC games for each school, unless the big ten schools play each other 6 times.

we let yale off the hook. there is no way we should have had three goals beat us against a backup goalie that hadn't played since what nov. eids should not have needed to be great that game, just solid which for the most part he was.

playing 6 games in 9 days did not help our chances either against yale.
