Just wanted to throw this out there. I have come across a Gemini Black Fighting Sioux Geometric jersey but the problem is it is a Large. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to trade a similar jersey for an XL or XXL? PM if you are interested Thanks

I usually bring three to four jerseys with (I'm like a girl who can't figure out what purse to use). I am going to start off the weekend with a little retro style (green blackhawk one) and then if we win and play on Friday I am going to wear my white TJ Oshie jersey (it seems like his game usually elevated whenever he played the Gophers). Then if we make it to the Championship game I will be wearing my white Reebok (same as I wore last year when we won in double OT). That's just me though!

My understanding of the rule is, if he does not sign with Montreal before the 2012 draft they will lose his rights. That is probably why you will see Montreal pushing very hard to sign him after his season is done at UND. I could also be wrong too!

nope, you do not have to play 4 years of college hockey. it is 4 years since you were drafted and if you don't sign with the team that drafted you you are a FA. I believe Blake Wheeler did this a few years ago.

Frankly, I could care less if we played the Gophers right away. It is fun as a fan to watch these two teams play but once they move to different conferences it will just not be the same between the two teams on the ice. That's just my 2 cents....

This year is prime example. The Gophers are 7th in the pairwise, 7TH! If you win the WCHA regular season title you should not be that low, the team who finished 2nd in the WCHA is 2nd in the PWR. Maybe if the Gophers scheduled some teams that were actually good instead of padding their record they wouldn't be so low.

they will probably be Reebok. I believe that the mens team has a contract with them for all of their equipment. The reason you cant get "new" womens jersey is that their jerseys were done on short notice so they only had enough time to make up enough for the team, not for resale.

They will always be the Sioux in your heart but it is time to move on. The nickname will hinder us from moving forward (as it already has), I simply do not want to be playing the South Dakota School of Mines (NAIA?) on Saturdays and I diffenetly do not want to be moved down the list in the Hockey world (and play cake eating teams). For UND to become viable in the D1 world we have to let the nickname go. I understand the logo means a lot to people but you have to remember this is a fight between the NCAA and the ONE Sioux Tribe who is as stubborn as a mule. The NCAA has laid out the rules for everyone to read and we have to follow them. I understand there are other schools that are D1 that might play us but I don't want to play the Central Michigans or Furman Colleges of the world, I want to play the big boys (Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa) because when you play the big dogs you get better television/national coverage. We have already seen what schools will do (Iowa and Wisconsin not playing us) and what the NCAA will do (our UND Women's hockey team can't play at the REA for the NCAA tourny), so it is time to move on.

i don't understand why people gave him such a hard time (ya i know people thought he wasn't a big burly defenseman like greene or commodore), he was/is a good hockey player and it would've been nice to see him stick around another year.

just picked up a nike dazzle for 200 bucks and now i want some lettering (mike prpich) done on it. does anyone know if the ralph does nike jerseys anymore?

not to take anything away from what you have done (kudos to you for coaching and reffing, I have done both and it takes certain people to do it) but at what level did you peak out at? every level of the sport is different and it matters what level you are reffing/coaching at because you are coaching/reffing different aspects of the game. when you are at the top of your level (NHL players/NHL refs), you (as a player) should have a firm grasp on how the sport works and operates. each player knows they can do harm to anyone on a given night and if they can get away with cheap shots and stuff every night they will keep doing it and as long as they allow that to happen there will be fighting in hockey (its part of its culture whether you like it or not). its just like in baseball, if a pitcher hits one of the opposing teams star players you can be damn sure that guys star player will get beaned there next at bat. i don't have any idea on how to solve the fighting issue in hockey (i believe it will always be around) but you can start handing out stricter penalties to both parties involved (the player that injures another player can't play until the other guy is healthy enough to play), heck even make the refs accountable too! no one has the answers to this but Gary Bettmen, the owners and the players union.
