i think the point of this argument is that they want to reward teams that have a successful year and not punish them by putting them in a regional where there fan base will never show up. although i do like the way the tournament is set up now, it gives everybody the same chance to win a title. the team to win the national title shouldn't be the one who has won the regular season title and the tourny title its the one who shows up to play and executes at that moment. thats the great thing about tournaments like this, everyone is beatable and anyone can win. if we had it the way you are saying it would've been UND vs. YALE or UND vs. BC and that wouldnt be that interesting to me. also if you remember in 2001 when Miami and Nebraska play for the BCS title, Nebraska shouldn't have been playing for the title because they didn't even win the Big 12 (which was won by Colorado) and they also lost to Colorado but they jumped over Colorado because Nebraska lost one less game.

its a stupid campaign that is going to end up biting the committee in the a$$. i have yet to hear one of there "awesome radio ads" and i read the paper every morning and i have yet to see an ad about voting on the library. i do see a lot of people writing about it though. i also see that they have a bunch of "hobbit" signs across the street from the library that says "free take one" and there is a bunch of them still sitting there.

i actually do have a marketing degree. yes, they did get my attention but as i am driving by them you can't even see what you are voting yes on. you can't even see the vote yes! the best ones are the ones against the library, plain and simple, VOTE NO! you should never mix yellow and white colors together as they don't complement one another. the boards best bet to get people to vote yes on a tax increase (have an idea where it is going to go) is a plain and simple ad campaign, nothing fancy and over the top. i for one will vote against a library and i am pretty sure people of grand forks will vote against it too!

With the way the job market is I say go for it. Yes, if he stays he has a college education but that doesn't get you much these days as a lot of people are out of jobs and taking whatever they can get. If he can develop his hockey skills and make some pretty good money playing a sport he loves, so be it. Is it disheartening that he is leaveing, yes but he has deserves every bit of support from us Sioux fans as his journey into the professional ranks starts now.

anyone see the signs in peoples yards about voting yes for the library? i cant believe that simmons flint created such a crappy sign! you can hardly see the message they are trying to get across! if i were the people who ordered these signs i would be upset because they are nothing more than a medium sized sign that says "hobbit".

what brand of kool-aid would you be talking about?....i prefer grape kool-aid but whatever kind you make is probably good anyway. yes, my parents did do a fine job in raising me, i have a four year degree, i have a great job that can provide me with things that i want and i treat other people the way i want to be treated. with that i think you are just a mean person who looks for attention, you probably didn't get enough love as a child so you lash out towards other people with your stupid comments and how you know this person and that person, just to make yourself feel better.

doubt it. if he dropped most of his classes it would probably put him under 12 credits which would make him a part time student and therefor ineligible to play hockey.

take it in stride, there are many people on here who think because they have over 1,000 posts they know everything about sioux hockey and have insider information on everything. they hate hearing things that might be demeaning to the team they love because they don't want to hear the truth or they think you are a troll bashing their team. we are all sioux fans here so it shouldn't matter who has the most posts (as lot of people's posts are just saying the score of a game or "SCORE" when the sioux score).

going to miss them all! i'm going to miss frattin's ability to create a play no matter what (scoring the goal on Yale last year) i'm going to miss pony's huge hits and big red hair! i'm going to miss trupp's unbelievable puck handling skills i'm going to miss marto's versatility i'm going to miss davidson's do what is asked mentality i'm going to miss pointer's ability to main the point with ease i'm going to miss genoway's style of play in my mind, UND needs more 4 year players like this!

have fun working with schools that lose money every year (except the UofM) on hockey! if i was starting a new hockey conference PENN STATE and OHIO STATE are the last schools i would be looking at to join the leage. those two school wont be relevant in college hockey for years to come and will water down your league a heck of a lot quicker than bemidji state and Omaha! also, the last time i checked, UND and Denver were D1 schools. your argument about not being in a conference with a D3 school is irrelevant because D3 already has hockey!

im personally pulling for you guys! wcha final would be awesome and it would also show those idiots from wisconsin and uofm that leaving might not be in their best interest.
