Really......Is that all you have? What some ex-sioux alumni did after he left college (besides becoming a millionaire). The topic is about student-athletes and or administration, not some old man. Like I said earlier, you Bison fans are in Denial and now you are on the "anger" part and hopefully tomorrow you will be on the bargaining stage.
-
One game suspension is perfect for this!
-
Denial - "we do not have a problem". Anger - "It's not our fault, everyone is out to get us". Bargaining - "Just let us play this weekend against Colorado, than suspend us". Depression - "Why should we even try". Acceptance - "We made a mistake and we are going to learn from it".

You are reaching for something that isn't there. "Oh no! Two games out of how many in a hockey season for flipping off an official while on camera?" That statement right there shows that you and the rest of the fans at NDSU hold winning a football game to a higher standard than addressing the issue at hand. Two games in hockey can mean the difference between having home ice for the playoffs or not having them, just as losing one game in football makes the difference between home field and going on the road. The fact of the matter is, these players are not kids anymore and its time that an adult steps up and punishes them but the longer the Coach and AD sit there and "wait for things to play out", the longer this becomes a distraction. Take your licks like a man and move on! Coach Bohl and AD Taylor already know what this is (Class A misdemeanor), I don't know how clearer the state can be on this. Also, Ralph chose to donate money to build an arena for the mens hockey program (UND DOES NOT OWN THE RALPH) and with that money he was promised certain things and when those promises turned into lies he felt betrayed. He didn't rob a bank or commit a crime, so that is a non-issue. You can try and spin this anyway you want but you know there is a problem down in Fargo and it will keep getting bigger and bigger until something is done. This isn't the first time and it wont be the lasttime we hear about the NDSU team getting into trouble with the law.
-
The problem you have with coach Bohl and your AD is, they put winning a football game ahead of shaping young men into respectable adults. You fail to remember that our AD suspended Hak for flipping off the refs for TWO games. Was that worthy of a two game suspension? No, but it set an example to everyone else that no one is above the TEAM or UNIVERSITY!

if you are interested in what i had to say about him and his frozen foot, look in past threads or PM me.
-
I was one of the more vocal people when Kristo got his "frozen" foot and I was also very vocal when Frattin and Oshie had their issues. With that being said, Hak lives by the rule that "no one is bigger than the team" and he has instilled that in his players since day one and takes care of it when repeated offenses happen. So when you say that "We would be singing a different tune", just remember their are people on here that still hold athletes to a different standard than everyone else. Lately the NDSU team has been getting in trouble more and more often (it comes with having a successful football program) and Coach Bohl seems to not care (maybe he does but it does not show). I would think by benching these kids or dismissing the troublemakers would start to show the team (and community) that NO ONE IS BIGGER THAN THIS TEAM. I think that once the administrators and coaches starting making examples of athletes (because they are held to a higher standard), these problems will start to become less and less. Until then they can keep living in denial that there is nothing wrong with their program or the athletes they get.

I doubt they will raise the price on the authentic because you have to spend another $65 bucks just to get a name and number on it. If anything I could see them lowering the price, I have seen other schools that have the authentic Reebok jersey and they only charge $199.
-
I hope they don't charge $249 bucks for an authentic because they will not be worth that price!
-
Does that mean you want to let me have it?

Pretty sure David Marvin was a decent player (was not soft or avoided contact), Matt Morelli ( I might give you that one) and Lee Marvin was tough to gauge because it has to be hard to crack a line-up with players such as Schneider, Fuhr, Greene, Bina, Jones, Smaby, Radke, Hale, Chorney, and Lee.

I'm kind of curious too....

I don't know but this article says that UND hockey is a pretty big deal.... GRAND FORKS, N.D. - The Fighting Sioux men's hockey team punctuated another highly successful season by leading NCAA Division I men's hockey in three attendance categories in 2011-12. North Dakota led the nation in total attendance (419,981) and average attendance (9,999.5) for all games - which includes home, away and neutral - and also led the country in total home attendance (249,501). UND's average home attendance of 11,341 fans per game ranked second nationally behind only Wisconsin's 11,772.9. "Our fans show up in large numbers and give our team an added boost in every building that we visit across the nation," said UND head coach Dave Hakstol. "Here at Ralph Engelstad Arena, they have been a huge part of developing a dominant home-ice advantage over the past 10 years. Their passion is truly amazing." UND averaged just under capacity in the 11,634-seat Engelstad Arena in 2011-12, selling out 11 of 22 home games and eight of the last 10. The Sioux played in front of two of the five largest crowds in program history when 12,065 turned out to watch a 1-1 overtime tie with Michigan Tech on Feb. 18, and 12,029 witnessed a 3-0 win over Minnesota State in the regular season finale on March 3. Those two crowds ranked as the fourth and fifth-largest in program history. The Sioux went 15-4-3 at home in 2011-12, including a 10-3-1 mark in WCHA play. UND was 26-13-3 overall, set a league record by winning its third straight Broadmoor Trophy as WCHA Final Five champions, and advanced to the NCAA West Region championship as the tournament's No. 1 seed. Average Attendance Leaders (All Games) 1. North Dakota, 9,999.5 2. Minnesota, 9,272.4 3. Wisconsin, 9,174.3 4. Boston College, 8,268.6 5. Michigan, 7,055.7 Total Attendance Leaders (All Games) 1. North Dakota, 419,981 2. Minnesota, 398,715 3. Boston College, 363,820 4. Wisconsin, 339,448 5. Michigan, 289,284 Total Attendance Leaders (Home Games) 1. North Dakota, 249,501 2. Wisconsin, 235,458 3. Minnesota, 219, 401 4. Nebraska Omaha, 141,544 5. Colorado College, 135,078

Go to any arena UND plays at and I GUARANTEE half of that arena will be filled with Sioux Fans. NDSU is not and will not be on the same level at Sioux Hockey ever. You can try and spin it anyway you want to but the numbers just don't/won't add up.

How would it not be sold out if fans are still paying over $100 for a $40 ticket?
-
$40....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
-
for some odd reason they keep winning the "best pizza" award in grand forks!

I guess the Ralph looked into Suite 49 not to long ago but the guy who owns it wants a lot of money just in rent (I was told it was super high). Which leads me to believe Suite 49 will not reopen anytime soon. That place lost money in each of its three years of operating, I guess that's what you get when you have a deep pocketbook and you let your daughter run the place!
-
Paterno was going to leave sooner or later....Penn State will rebound (it may take them some years but they will come back).
-
UND wanted Pat back because they knew excatly what he brought to the table (his knowledge of Sioux Sports) each night. Calling a few games back in the 80's and following Sioux sports now does not make you an expert (Hammer). I for one hope this blows up in Midcos face and they come crawling back to Pat. As far as color guy goes, I am sure they will be calling Jim Scanlan to do the games, as he was never under contract with WDAZ.
-
i never said I was in favor of Pat, I just said that with a high profile job like this, they could only get Dan Hammer? I'm sorry but Hammer has an EGO has big as a blimp and I am not in favor of him.
-
working at midco will be a full time job. im sorry but im not a huge hammer fan and if thats all they could find than thats sad
-
i find it kind of funny that they use the name (N. Dakota Fighting Sioux) on Big Sky's online store.
-
I just got this in the mail yesterday.

I have that whole game on DVD!
