HAHAHAHAHAHAHA....Sometimes DaveK should just keep his mouth shut because it gets easier for us to rip on him!
-
I would say the Devils are out.
-
Do you pay for Midcontinent?....Do you pay for WDAZ or WDAY? It's that simple...You are not that bright when it comes to basic economics.
-
The previous TV contract paid $40,000 a year, a far cry from nothing as you indicate. I understand this looks good but just remember, Midco can recoup that 1 million dollars a lot faster than WDAZ. WDAZ only source of income from FSSN was from the ads they sold, Midco will sell ads and could raise people cable bills by $1 and make more than 1 million in a year.
-
It still might affect people locally. CableOne still has not picked up the feed and who knows if they will.
-
I am willing to bet that people will see a slight increase in their cable subscriptions this upcoming year.

FORUM: What's a bigger deal: NDSU football or UND hockey?
siouxkid12 replied to bincitysioux's topic in Men's Hockey
Are you high? Pretty much anyone could name ONE PLAYER that played hockey at UND! You would have a little more trouble being able to find someone who could name a person who played football at NDSU! By the way, where is the Nickel trophy? -
I like how you say that this isn't 1930 anymore but yet you still argue that keeping the nickname wont harm the university!
-
The same ones that made pennies compared to todays NFL stars? They know the NFL is a billion dollar difference so they sue the pants off of them because they can. You can't sit there and tell me these athletes don't know the consequences of taking a hit?
-
If players want the option to wear a half facemask, I say let them. If the players believe that they can see better without a cage, so be it. Players know the risks of playing a sport, they don't need someone to tell them what they can and can't wear. By the way, a NO vote on June 12th will kill UND athletics.
-
Danye is no longer coming to UND, she will be staying at the UofM. Reason is unknown but my guess is it had something to do without being able to get out of her committment at the U.

i just picked up an authentic white nike a couple weeks ago, now i just need a gamer!
-
nice pickups! now are you going to "thin" out your collection? haha
-
I must have missed that too! I was always under the assumption that Hakstol is well respected by the NHL.
-
I sure hope Kevin Gorg does not get the job!
-
well, it helps when they refer to what tournament it was.
-
what event are you speaking of? Pavol Demitra passed away in September
-
was he one of those "unpaid volunteer" coaches?
-
Yeah, I know what the listing says but from everything I understand is Haks main goal is to get someone who played D in the NHL and Hale made quite a career for himself. The other stuff (recruiting players) you can learn on the fly. I just threw out Hales name because I know he lives in GF and he is a name we could probably hear as a coach in the future.
-
This is just a thought but I do believe that David Hale lives in Grand Forks. What would people think about him being a coach if Berry is not in the running?
-
As far as I know, no one is leaving...
-
Danye Guinn is coming back to be a Coach at UND, that is for sure.
-
what committed recruits did they take from us? (besides JT Miller)
-
Just checked past Bemidji schedule's (they only go back to the 01-02 season) and the last time Minnesota was in Bemidji was the 10/11 season.....Shows how much they help up and coming programs!

What I am about to say isn't about former Sioux players but has anyone noticed how many goalies there are in the playoffs that played college hockey? Cory Schneider played very well in replacement for Luongo. Brian Elliot came out of no where this year and helped turn around the Blues. Jimmy Howard played pretty good for an aging Red Wings team. Jonathan Quick should win the Vezina this year. You have Tim Thomas he has led his team to a Stanley Cup already and his backup is a former college goaltender who won TWO NCAA championships. All in all I think College Hockey is being represented very well in the Stanley Cup Playoffs!
