Of course Sioux fans have moved on, we have shown that we can survive without them. When we go to National Tournaments (aka the Frozen Four) us Sioux Fans don't wear stuff that says "Bison Suck" because they are irrelevant to us. We have won 7 D1 titles LONG before they even sniffed D1 (if you are trying to say they can't be compared, I would say you might be right but the Frozen Four gets more coverage than that FCS title game did).

Tebow is in a lose lose situation. Even if he beats a team like the Steelers, people will say that they were a depleted team and anyone could've beaten them. If he loses next weekend people will say that they knew it all along, well 15 other teams have tried and couldn't beat them either so it is not just Tim Tebow. The thing I like about this kid is he keeps proving couch coaches wrong. You know who you are too, you are the one who sits on his couch and watches all this football and also manages 5 fantasy football teams and wins them all. Since you win them all you think you are the next big GM of the NFL, the fact of the matter is Tebow is a QB and he is a damn good one at it.

You are not understanding this, WDAZ airs its own broadcasts in HD because its all done in the studio. The FSSN or UND Sports Network is the Universities problem not WDAZ or MIDCO. It is not a smart investment for WDAZ to buy traveling equipment and a semi trailer full of HD hookups when it will get used for a total of 50-60 home games, less now that CBS Sports will be airing NCHC games. The University has to make up their mind if they want to air their games in HD and right now they feel the need to air stuff in HD can wait.

Local franchises are still bought by National Agencies and none of them will buy small time hockey. Just because you own a Franchise does not mean you can go off and do your own advertising, you still have to follow corporate guidlines. NCAA Hockey is not a big time event until you get to the Frozen Four or you are a college from a Major conference. If the average person sees the Gophers playing Wisconsin they will probably watch that (because they are Big Ten Schools) but if they see the Sioux playing Denver, chances are they will not be tuning in.

I would start by calling WDAZ and asking them how much it would cost and tell them you will write them a check and volunteer your time for a penalty clock.

On a side note, I brought my 87 Blackhawk Sioux jersey into DayDreams here in Grand Forks, never again. They are fairly cheap but they do not pay attention to directions (I brought pictures for them to look at) and once it is on they can't fix it because it gets heat pressed on. I am thoroughly disappointed in them and the fact that my jersey did not turn out like I was told!

UND does not have the national exposure that National Advertisers want. That and NCAA Hockey is not as big as Football, Basketball and sometimes Baseball. UND is still a small time player in a big pond of Network Television, I am sorry to burst your bubble but UND hockey will not be very relevant (outside of the RRV) to National Advertisers until NCAA Hockey becomes very relevant.

Did Middle Tennessee State have to change their nickname along with everything that goes with it? UND has a lot more on their plate to take care of first before they purchase HD.

Nothing compared to a big time football school. I would guess it is in the range of 25,000 plus, depending on who the Sioux are playing too.

Well your thought is actually wrong because everything that is broadcasted on Channel 8 is in HD, it is channel 323 that is the problem. What you people don't realize is that putting on FSSN is a team effort between UND, WDAZ and Midco. None of them have an HD truck (which makes HD available outside the studio) and none of them are going to put up the money to purchase one (why would WDAZ buy one when they more than likely are going to lose the FSSN, same applies to Midco). If you guys want it in HD (I will admit, HD is nice) get mad at the University as they are the ones who need a mobile HD vehicle, NOT WDAZ or MIDCO.

ummm HD cameras wont be the only thing you need to have an HD feed. You will need an HD truck and those do not come cheap. What is wrong with the advertising on FSSN? The people that are advertising on FSSN are the ones who are investing in their business which inturn allows people like you to watch Sioux hockey games!

IMO...Trent Dilfer is one of the worst QB's ever. If I were to start a team and I had to pick Tebow or Dilfer, I would choose Tebow. He gets better and better each week. Yes, his motion is slow and his passes arn't crisp but you know what, he makes his teammates believe in one another. Tebow will be in the league for a long time and chances are he will be playing QB. Personally I am not a Bronco fan ( GO PACK GO) but he is making a lot of people tune into Bronco games and he is making NFL football fun to watch again.

Do you understand what HD costs? For UND or WDAZ to provide the hockey games in HD, it would cost over 1 million dollars, that is just to get the truck with everything in it. It would take years for that truck to get paid off. When UND moves into this new conference, you can kiss WDAZ/Midco Sports net (who produce crappy sporting events anyway) goodbye, as they will not be in line to carry NCHC hockey. My guess is that FSN would make a real hard pitch as they will have Fox Sports channels in each area of the conference.
