There are some level headed Bison fans (I know it's rare) that bring up money (scholarships) attendance (can't get more out of the Fargodome). If anyone wants some entertainment head over to BV as there are multiple threads about the MAC and moving up to the FBS. Since Saul is leaving for Ohio some of the dolts over there think NDSU should go with him and join the MAC. It's so funny to hear them compare budgets, attendance even who is better the MAC or the Slummit. Smokin the good stuff over there especially when they say the Slummit is better.

Moving from DII to DI is not the same as moving up from FCS to FBS as they are both DI. The only requirement in short is the 15,000 attendance rule and the increase of scholarships. I think SV as with Fullerton is talking about a conference move up after a Super 5 split and not during the current FBS format. (SV please correct me if I am wrong)

Bubba is going to whip these boys into shape, the party days of Muss is gone, now it's time to work. Last years team was embarrassing to watch from a fan standpoint and with 2000 people for the last game of the year no one wanted to watch this "circus" of a team. Bubba brings a work ethic that Muss didn't have. I have a better feeling of this team compared to last year at this time. At least after game one we can see how the team really is playing an FBS team compared to playing a non-scholarship team like Valpo.

Is the offense running a different formation than last year? I hope they buried that Pistol Offense.

My love for Sioux hockey was in 1984, my dad took me to my first Sioux game (in any sport) UND lost to CC but seeing them in person was so awesome. Of course watching the Hrkac Circus 3 years later against Yale (I still have the game program to this day) was incredible sitting behind the Yale goal when Hrkac scored a wrap around goal. I hope to give my kids memories they will remember always.

BREAKING... UM AD Kent Haslam has just announced that the Athletic Department has bought out the NDSU Bison game, and the Griz football team will not be playing North Dakota State this fall. The Bison game, originally scheduled to be played on September, 6, will be replaced with a home game against a premier top 25 FCS opponent that will be named in the next few days. I cannot name one baseball alumn, I also have never attended a UND or any college baseball game so if UND dropped it, it wouldn't matter to me. It doesn't fit with our weather unless the schedule was more like the FM Redhawks (May-Aug). At least there wouldn't be many games if at all postponed due to weather unless it rained.

I think they should. Look how they had to move a game (a DI conference game) to Bismarck. Unless we have a dome to play ball in, I say drop it. However if UND drops baseball (and probably softball), what sport should they replace them with? Lacrosse?
