I don't expect people to be content. I'm jumping through hoops to get the games. I have to bring a computer home from work every weekend to watch. And pay $63 to get it. I do expect people to understand UND is in a conference and doesn't get to make all the decisions by themselves.

I get that UND should feel like more than 1/8th of a vote because they were a founding member. But there are 7 other founding members in the conference. It's a conference, UND should play a role but why do they deserve more than what Denver, Colorado College, Duluth or Miami get? Those are the big schools in the conference... do those five schools get two votes and everyone else gets one? That's a great way to attract members. Does UND get all the votes and everyone gets none? Why does UND deserve all the credit and the votes? Did they form the conference themselves? Did they force all the schools to join? Why even let the other schools decide on the name... I guess it should have been the North Dakota Hockey Conference because UND is the only school that matters because they were important in starting the conference. It's a conference, not an individual school leading the way. How difficult is that to understand? Miami has been to the championship game more recently than us. Duluth and Denver have won more championships than us in the past 12 years. St. Cloud State was in the Frozen Four last year and beat Miami! Do they get a few more votes than us? Would UND want to be a part of a conference where their vote mattered less than other schools? Then why the f do you expect other schools to do the same?

I think the shootouts are good for our national exposure... and I've learned that's all that matters.

I understand the frustration. I'm frustrated... I liked watching on tv. However, can I ask for a legitimate reason why you consider it an excuse? What should/could UND have done to prevent the league from signing this contract? What do you know that UND didn't do to prevent this contract?

I think it's because everyone is using their computers to stream the game. I have two laptops in my living room, so i have one to type and one to watch on my TV. Still, I'm surprised how quiet it is this year.

It's nice living within an hour of three NCAA hockey teams, 2 of which are NCHC teams, the other one I work for. Chatted with a higher member of an NCHC athletic department about the CBSSN TV deal today. He said each school had one vote about the TV deal. There were 7 yes votes and one no vote. The only no vote was Brian Faison. Seems like Faison was pretty knowledgeable about how this deal would negatively affect UND's viewership. Glad he is in the fan's corner about trying to get the games as viewable as possible.

Let's get the numbers on the front/top part of the helmet like the NHL and the UND on the sides. I think that would look sharp

Why is it perfect for some and not for others? Midco, UND and Neulion are all sending the exact same feed. The only thing not included in that is the end user and people have different systems.

I agree. I don't know what it was, but there was a different UND team out there today. There were mistakes which turned out to be costly, but the big defensive problems (for the most part) and the lack of offense weren't issues. It was turnovers and a few big plays. Stop those and UND wins this game easily. Gives you hope for the rest of the season.

Hey Jayson, Would it be possible for the new iphone app to display which games are scheduled to be broadcast in HD? Even under the live section, less than an hour before the game it doesn't have a watch option in the schedule. There are some games (like women's hockey) where I don't follow it religiously but would watch if it showed up on the schedule. Thanks again for your help!

At this point, line numbers mean nothing. He's going to send out the "4th" line more than the "3rd" line throughout the game. It's probably just sending a message to some guys.

The past couple years, I've been pretty hard on Mackey. I wasn't a big fan of his trash talking, getting beat for a big play, then trash talking some more. But at Idaho State I saw something different from him that I noticed today when I watched closely. He's going to talk to guys and be excited when he makes a play. He has a short memory but he gives guys credit when they beat him. Every time he went up to the line against a receiver at ISU, he would slap hands as a "good lucK' type thing. After he got burned for the TD he would tap the receiver on the helmet or head for a good play. He may talk a lot when he makes a good play but he knows when he has been beat. He also was the first and last player to say something to the fans, thanking us for coming to the game. I could do without the trash talking but he's got passion for the game and for the fans. He's an easy target for the fans to dislike because he gives up a lot of big plays but he's a UND guy through and through. I'll take his excitement and love for the team and game over some of the people just coasting by. I find it difficult to believe he was jawing with UND fans and considering the source, I doubt it ever happened.

I don't know how you don't blow the whistle when the guy is stopped like that.

At least we get the ball back get a good drive, some points and start playing D again.

These guys are having fun and enjoying things together as a team. I'm loving it. It's what has been missing so far this year. Hopefully it leads to points!
